Stevie takes us to church sometimes, but he takes us somewhere every time. Always bringing something new to the table. And yeah. I love the beard. This is one of my favorite performances, his strumming in the middle is mesmerizing. I know it's been a year but who cares? Great words for both these icons. Keepin' Stevie alive, one reactor at a time. RIP, King SRV. ☮️
Stevie like a kid at Christmas up there sharing the stage with a legend that is one of his many guitar heros!!!!! can't imagine the feeling he's feeling right now. Killer performance all around....
🤠Hey Teez! Thanks for this one! Stevie was always great at paying tribute and recognizing his mentors, heroes, and fellow musicians. True class! Happy holidays to you and your family! 👍🎅🎄🎸🎸🎸
guys sorry for the CUT in the middle of the reaction! I got a phone call but I didn't want to re-react so I just paused and edited that call out... Appreciate all the love and support!
@@johnenglish1955 Hey John! I hope you and your family are having a wonderful Christmas Eve where ever you are. 🎄 I'm just chillin right now enjoying some SRV AND DT at Sidney Opera House. Dang he was on fire! Have a wonderful and safe Holiday John. Blessing to you 🎄🙏🎸🎸
@@bonniefaulconer2080 🤠Thank you, Bonnie! 👍 I'm in Galveston, TX drinking brandy 🥃 and waiting for Santa to show up! LOL Merry Christmas again to you and yours! I wish Stevie was here to open presents, but I feel his spirit tonight and every time I close my eyes and listen to him sing and play! ♥🎸🎸🎸
When Johnny Copeland stepped back to the mic he was supposed to sing the next verse but forgot the words so he started playing a solo, at the end when Stevie Ray looks over at Johnny they laugh and Stevie and Johnny hug that's why the jammin in the middle was long ( genius move Johnny) Amazing performance. Lol I was into the performance I didn't even hear the phone ring until I went back and listened to it again.
OK, now you just stepped into SRV. I love this! I will be watching every vid. BTW, love your analytical process and you are so well spoked, very much appreciate you.
I loved your reaction to this amazing insane video! Your smile and facial expressions said it all. And a huge thank you for doing this version after a great reaction of the Capitol Theater one. I’ve said it before but I love your channel and never tire of seeing SRV! I hope you have a very Merry Christmas 🎄 and am looking forward to the next SRV. Try Rivera Paradise for a very beautiful chill but amazing video with SRV.
Johnny is playing a Peavey T-60 which I want to buy eventually. I've been able to find a maple fretboard version, but not a rosewood. I'd like to build a Charvel strat with lipstick pickups. Does anybody out there know about this guitar. It seems strange that Charvel hasn't built a SRV signature version of this guitar. I saw Sheimeka Copeland (Johnny's daughter) sing at an East Coast blues festival and she was great. I should've flirted with her but I was hammered on Sam Adams. I was fortunate too, to see Dr. John and Charlie Musselwhite at that festival. Many years earlier I had seen Charlie and Little Walter playing with Muddy Waters and Johnny Winter at Chicagofest. Long live the blues!
Johnny Copeland, Buddy Guy, Albert Collins, Albert King, Bb King. All legends that influenced SRV. His jam session with his mentor Albert King is one of the best of his performances on RU-vid: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4-apz26BfHY.html
Blues at its finest. Seems u haven't done Riviera Paradise yet. Its his rehab song. Runs on your soul like crystal clear tempered water. The Austin live : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3c_8VUL5jks.html and ofc the album version which is also cool. But that specific live is its best rendition. Stevie is the only one I can cry for, real tears, while he died 2 years before my birth. Its probably the only man that does that to me. Heartbreaking loss.
