I learned this as a kid he was one of a kind. This song he pays tribute to his guitar heroes Wes Montgomery and Buddy Guy. Stevie was completely sober and in the happiest place in his life when was taken from us. I was lucky enough to meet him and cried. I told him I loved him and thanked him. He had that big hat on and I’ll never forget his hand wrapped completely around mine 😮 as he said “thank you so much son…” it was like meeting a super hero.
This composition reveals not only his talent as an artist, but the personal connection Stevie felt to others who were struggling with addiction. There's audio of a speech he gave at an AA meeting, where he shares his story with brutal honesty (on RU-vid, not sure how it got posted but it's very touching & a great gift that it exists). It's sad and ironic that Stevie left us so soon after finding real peace & happiness. Thanks for taking time to listen to this beautiful message from Stevie!
I would love to see that. I will find it. The more I learn the more it hurts to know. I just finished up some more Stevie. (RIP). Uploading now. Thank you for taking the time to help in gathering info. I appreciate it. Be well.
RIP , Stevie! I was not happy with video quality, I saw in comments and went back and looked. That won't cut it here. Little sister is uploading now. Please let me know if better. Jamie,... Thank you as always for taking the time or your day. I appreciate it. Be well.
Thank you. I appreciate the kind words and you taking the time of your day to stop by. I am working on more "Stevie" right now. Trying to do right by him with better video production. Not happy with last 2. Sylvia please let me know, what else you would like. Just finished "Little Sister" , trying to decide next. Please let me know if video quality is better this time. Thank you.
Nice reaction. I went down the Stevie rabbit hole about 5 years ago and will there there forever. I never met the man but I love him from his music, his message., and the man he became. He overcame so much in his life and to come out of it on top is truly inspirational. As a guitar player and person he is THE G.O.A.T.
After watching this episode, hitting the like button and leaving a comment I replayed this for my husband! It was so soothing he almost fell asleep and it's only about 1030pm! lol
So sorry about video quality, I am working hard to get it better. Just finished little sister and hoping it uploads. Thank you for the kindness, and you can tell your husband, I put on my playlist last night, and it did the same to me. Greetings from Missouri.
This is one song by SRV I've never heard before! Thank you for sharing! What a beautiful song and his remark at the start set the mood! I don't know about copyright issues but did you choose what made me think of a soft summertime rain fall on the screen? Because if you did it was awesome! Added to the whole feel and message of the video! Loving your channel more and more! Hello and love from Texas🤠🤠🤠
It caught me to when he said it. That song sure fit,, I would say. I have to use a filter for now until I find a way around it. Copyright stuff. I am a Career Caveman and learning my way. I try to use a filter that fits, to make the best of it, and of course.. Hello from Missouri!
Just FYI, 99% of Stevie's do not require a filter. A few songs from El Macambo sometimes get blocked but his live concerts and even his official videos are not blocked, just need to pause for RU-vid.
This is my favorite all time favorite song from anyone💯. Thank you for doing this one. (Doesn't require a filter though) I am always mesmerized by this song and his touch and feel of this. I am sure the audience was captivated too but this is the studio audience from the TV show Austin City Limits and they are asked to stay seated and quiet. He created this song after his own rehab and recovery which is dedicated to all those still out there suffering any way. It can sooth a wild beast I have no doubt💯
The GOAT OF GOATS!!!!!!😎🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Lets year it for Double Trouble! Much like John Paul Jones of the GOATS Led Zeppelin, they are much over looked!
Wrote them both on my list, might as well go down another rabbit hole or 2 . Thanks Joby, for taking the time out of your day. Means a lot to me. RIP SRV. . Next one is uploading now.
