Archer by himself still gives a fantastic loot bonus. It all depends on your ships and what you are able to hit. Also the favors will make a big difference. If you are not getting max mitigation of around 71% then you could add tng bev as a bridge officer to help. If you are hitting the reptilians from last month they do a lot of kinetic type damage. Because of this it is important to have tlann or cath to reduce damage. So I think you could try archer bev tlann or archer cath tlann. Also remember to not have any below deck critical officers like Hugh until you have the crit floor favor maxed. Also if you have any forbidden tech on your ship that increases crit chance remember to take that off for now.

Just had a thought. If you are close to max mitigation without bev you could try adding 5 of 11 on the bridge to increase your loot from the aquatics

Shouldn't have replied in haste. Of course the above just covers if you go in, hit one ship and then warp out. However for the interceptors at least you have a 'guaranteed' number of ships you can hit. So you would need to extend the probability out to a number of ship attacks. Not so clear cut.

@hatter8709 I totally appreciate your thoughts! I have been hitting mostly interceptors for the guaranteed loot but only hitting 1-2 of the battleships. So far I probably die about half the time but that could just be poor rng on the battleships. When I get the refit I may be more risk because hitting battleships give you those rare tokens/chips for the refinery. So far it’s a slow process but doesn’t take too long either.

I have had a lot of success hitting as high of a battleship as I can with the Leslie crew. Do you have Leslie? I have over 40m tech loot and I have been hitting battleships in the 40 system daily now for the rare chips. Been using the pike e data Harrison crew and got the battles down to 2 round. Tier 5 ship and hoping next tier I will be able to farm the rare chips easier by beating he hostiles before the big gun fires

If you don’t have Leslie you could try 5of11 or e-pic as your captain with tal and georgiou on the side and hit as high as you can (you would have to play with the level based on research/cargo size/ship tier for example).

@GrandAdmiralHunter I have leslie - who alongside and below as only 2 spaces and remembering my enty is onlya tiddler at 23m! When it's tiered up will def go for picard data harrison!

@jonathondemendonca9041 good! I was worried you might not have Leslie. So Leslie(c), Moreau, Georgiou. The idea is to keep your ship alive with Leslie’s captain ability and georgiou basically burns the hostile to death. You may have to invest some credits in the exborg store on warp range but it’s well worth it. I would recommend using crew to meet your ship stats but put Hugh below deck if possible. I have seen this method work even at T1 so worth looking into. You need to pick a system that is appropriate for your ship based on your hull health. There is a chart I found and posted in my discord that gives a good estimate of the system to try based on your ops level. Feel free to check out my discord (I put a link in the description of each video) if you want to reference that. 2 things to consider: you have gone to too big of a system if the battle goes more than 100 rounds (max amount of rounds for a battle) and if you don’t survive past round 1 that means the hostiles big gun has fired and killed your ship (30%chance of this happening). While doing this method I failed like 4 times in a row due to the big gun. There were times when I died multiple times in a row but also times when I won multiple times in a row. Ultimately it’s a numbers game and now I easily do max turnins everyday.

@GrandAdmiralHunter have you tried leslie moreau data? I only get one token a day and tried a 44 and big gun hit me first time and have no reserves stored

I would probably try using tng bev crusher for mitigation if you are mainly focusing on the interceptors. So acher as captain and bev and Chen as officers on the bridge. You could also run Chen and tlann on the bridge like you suggested. Tlann won’t help while you are hitting the interceptors so you will have to see how many battleships you want to hit. So far I die most of the time I hit a he battleships so I am mainly crewing for the interceptors. I wouldn’t say to avoid the battleships completely because they drop the rare chips for the refinery that will help for the extra refinery turnin and they do have 10 times the loot. I swear the 30% is more like a 30% chance you will survive.
