Did you just accuse a 4000 year old martial art of ripping off a Malay art that comes from it's main deep roots in the Malay Kingdoms of ancient times? Filipino Stick fighting originated from their ancestors- Malays and Indonesians. Russian Systema, Poznai Sebia, has been fighting for 4000 years, the Philippines was hardly alive then- still belonging to the Aetas. The main reason they developed their stick skills was due to their whip skills, which is from their Sabres- Shaskas.

Not as good as FMA ?, why ?; because it doesn't have the artistic/choreographed non-sense of stick versus stick hitting ?. This is EFFICIENT, stick straight to the body to finish the fight fast.
