This is wonderful. I'm crying so hard for my childhood I've never heard such a good soundtrack before, it's wonderful and I wanna listen to it all day and forget my problems.. This is the most wonderful soundtrack I've ever listened and I mean it.

I remember when i was younger, i would play this game all the time, but i remember hearing this soundtrack ONCE, and never forgot it, and it wasnt until recently when i found it and I. AM. HAPPY. The nostalgia is amazing they should remake the donkey country games it would be AMAZING.

Taking into consideration that there are many great soundtracks from other video games in the world, but without a doubt this one is one of the best tracks of all time.
Nah. Brawl’s version took a different approach which was more fitting for a fighting game soundtrack. This more relaxing version wouldn’t work as well in brawl. They’re both amazing but they’re trying to accomplish different goals. Also don’t forget the legendary version from tropical freeze
Still can't believe this could be put inside my beloved Super Nintendo. I just will never forget how deep this was for stage music in a video game. Uncharted territory at the time. Never heard anything like this until this game which btw is my all time fave before I quit gaming in the 90's.
As a fan of chill sounding music like this, and fighting game music: I’d say OG version = Brawl's version. Side note: I’ve just now started playing this and I don’t know why I’m crying to this…huh

When I first played DKC2, I didn’t get it. I played it and was like “Ok, the music is pretty good, but I think I still prefer the first DKC overall.” Then I got to the first level with this song. *I get it now.*
