Perfect, concise, and quick. Now to fix mine! (Was able to find a replacement gasket kit. I'd suggest buying two if you find them, as you may need to do this again and they are rare to find.
First video I found that explained how my 011 Stihl oil pump works. Question: isn't there supposed to be a filter that fits over the plastic part that covers the middle shaft with the small hole that draws oil to be forced into the tube leading to the lube port of the chain? When I removed mine there was no filter, but my parts manual shows one. Thanks for the great video and any comment about the filter.
I think you’re right. I’m guessing the filter had disintegrated. Looks like it’s Stihl part number 1120-640-1300. Good catch. I had no idea there is suppose to be a filter there.
@@wcjcnc I bought mine new quite a few years back. I can't remember if I had anyone to work on the pump. Mine didn't even have the plastic sleeve under the filter like I've seen on other videos. Thanks for responding and the part number.
@@wcjcnc I wonder if it's a torn diaphragm and that's creating an easy access for are in the oil to just flow out I'll pull it out tomorrow and see what it looks like
I have a stihl 009 so i am replacing the fuel line. I removed the carburator, Now that I am to put the carburator back, Im not sure which hole on the carburator throttle the linkage installs into. Can someone help and share this info?
Make sure it’s not clogged up and the check valve in it is working. Also check the pulse port and make sure it’s not clogged or covered by gasket and make sure the flexible diaphragm that moves the pumps pin back and forth is still good. If it leaks the pump won’t work. Sometimes those can look good but still be bad.
hello sir, my chainsaw is sthill 009 model but it does not flow oil when I turn on the pump and look at it, the diaphragm is very hard so I guess it does not leak oil but I could not find a diaphragm because the saw is an old model. What can I do about it?
Damn. That’s a tough one. You may have to look for some type of material that you can use in place of the diaphragm, then glue that metal pin to it and basically make one. You can buy hole punch sets to punch the holes for the screws. Other than that I don’t know. The part number is Stihl 1120-640-3100 but I can’t find one. Good luck.

If that doesn’t work, cut a piece off a plastic jug like a milk jug or oil bottle and tap it with a hammer on a flat surface to thin it and soften it and make a diaphragm
You failed to mention the little brass c clip that is on the outer pump cover that holds the piston mech in place... nor did you say how to remove it easily without a special tool. Would appreciate that tidbit. I tried to remove my pump mech but it was stuck on the gasket and I feared tearing it. So still no bar oil
