STIHL 011 AV Arborist Chainsaw 

I bought an 011 back in 1989, my first Stihl. Loved that saw.

Great little saw, i use mine regularly, keep the carb clean and it will last forever. I think mine dates back to 1997

I bet I trimmed over a thousand palm trees with my first 011 Stihl. It had a unique sound.

Rebuilt the walbro carb and replaced fuel lines. The exhaust end baffle is missing si its louder then hell and runs great.

I want to know how to put a fuel line on a 01 1 steel

what are your thoughts on this particular saw?

I have this saw

I found the same saw in my Granddad's shed after he passed on. I took it to a small engine shop that I found to be a bit shady. The kid in the shop said it would cost as much to repair the saw as it would to buy a new one. The only comment on the work order was corroded gas tank. Any tips for cleaning corrosion out of the gas tank and or information on getting this old saw running?

What chain goes on these? the bar is worn out hard to see any numbers, thanks..

For limbs it would be fine, but for larger trees (like the one he was cutting), you're going to burn it up. The 011 is really best for trimming, and not for wholesale cutting (like for firewood). If you're looking for a firewood saw, I would move up to the 032 or higher.

I just bought at stihl 011 avt how do I find the year it was made?

To much oil in the gasoline otherwise nice saw
