Stihl 1122 family members Dyno tested, the venerable 066 Red light facing off against the crowd favourite 064.
The 064 was also run with a slightly leaner tune, it gained power above 10,600rpm, but lost 0.1 HP at its peak of 9800rpm and below.

Do you have any schematics and parts list for your dyno? And what program are you using?

The dyno controller and software is Yourdyno out of Norway. The complete build was just piece by piece, no schematic, still some harmonic vibrations to iron out before I am happy with it.

Very similar curves as you would expect, more displacement wins out on this. Very nice runs! Can't wait to see more.

Hi, I am also trying to build a dyno like this one. Could you tell me which alternator you used? How do you control the braking? Does the dyno have a load cell that measures Torque? Congratulations on your dyno!!!

Alternator is a 100A unit if a sedan, noting special. Braking is controlled by excitation of the rotor. Yes, torque is directly measure by a load cell on the alternator, as it is free to turn.
