I walk through routine maintenance on a Stihl BG 56 and correct a no start condition. How to fix a no start leaf blower. -Spark plug replacement -Fuel filter replacement -Air filter cleaning -Exhaust screen cleaning
Thanks for the video. I had a split pickup fuel tube that was cause of blower not running. Replaced pick up hose and problem fixed. Storing without fuel over a long period was a problem. To clean carbon off spar arrestor, burn it off with a blowtorch or other flame and then compressed aur and reinstall. You don't need to buy a new one.
I would put a little anti sieve on the spark arrestor threads before I put it back in. This will help in removal later. I would also put a little dielectric grease on the spark plug and end cap to help in the removal of the plug, later.
Another reason the blower may not start....bee nest in the spark arrester. I've had it happen and it was crazy trying to figure it out until I flipped it over.
I’m stomped at the moment I have the same blower. I’ve changed the spark plug fuel filter air filter Fuel vent and new carb. Still won’t start I mean why😅!! What could it be. New fuel etc was out in nothing not even a bite
Have you checked the new spark plug for spark? The ignition coil can fail you won't get enough spark to run. Replacement ignition coil modules are available for ~$25.
Thank u. After spending 60$ on a New carb :( and no results. No starting... Fucking Filter AT the exhast clug 💯. Cleanup.. first strat... Brand New.. was using amsoil before and for my last years using Motul... Clug the Filter..amsoil for ever now..
Thanks for sharing your frustrating experience. Hopefully it helps others avoid some frustration and understand the benefits of amsoil, I also love their 2 cycle oil.
It’s not a bad recommendation but I can’t seem to bring myself to follow it. What they really want to say is to remove the slack from the recoil mechanism and pull smoothly. The problem with throw starting is that some consumers are just not coordinated enough to do it smoothly. I have seen some examples that really make me cringe…poor recoil mechanism, I can hear it crying out in pain.
