In this Video we give our opinion of our Stihl BR 600 Backpack Blower. We will also show you basic operation such as starting procedures and running and using this Blower.
I've got one that I bought new in 2004 that I just rebuilt the engine on. Had to replace the crank seals and exhaust valve. New tank vent, gas lines, and cleaned the carb. Runs as good as new - had to adjust valves a few times, air filters and spark plugs - regular maintenance stuff. I run 40:1 oil mix. Great blower!
I have had mine a year and love it. We had and have a couple of electric blowers but they don’t even compare. I hated blowing the yard in the past and it was time consuming. We have a Ton of trees and leaves all around the property and I can get a complete clean up in about an hour. I use it too to blow the grass clippings in the spring and summer so it is getting used year round. I use it a lot more than any other piece of lawn equipment that I have. Best $ I have spent in a long long time. Thanks for the video.
That's awesome, alot of people also use them for blowing lite snow off their driveways and sidewalks as well . They can be used for alot more than just leaves that's for sure.
Good instructions. The specs show the 600 at 3.8bph to .9 for my 56 blower. Your demonstration shows the greater power too. I have a 3 acre property covered with leaves and acorns, and the 600 looks like it will be much more efficient. I am used to using both arms. Can you switch arms while using the 600?
@@TenOaksAcresoh, it’ll last if you take care of it. Mine is pre Magnum, from 2008. Still running strong. Check the valves if you haven’t already. It’s very easy to do, tons of videos showing how in YT.
I don't seem to have any problems but if you are running it for long periods the chest strap accessory( 10$ from Stihl )would be nice. It hooks into the two shoulder straps and runs across your chest.
@@TenOaksAcres - Thanks for the solid review, it gives me a perfect overview of the capabilities of the 600. Now one year later, no major issues occurred? Valve adjustment etc? Grtz.
