excellent lesson:-) I really need it. I saw new Japanese neighbours. I plan to introduce myself and have conversation to learn more but I hesitate :-) thank you sensei.
Great video. I’m Japanese and I am learning English. I upload Japanese daily life with English and Japanese captions everyday. If you have time, watch it and have fun.
Good stuff to know and pretty easy. I did learn a couple of those phrases differently, though, and they're stuck in my head. I'll have to try to learn these different versions too.
I was watching this with my brother and he said "so I could say '犬の食べ物は少ししか食べません。' and that would mean that my dog doesn't often eat his dog food... right?" XD i had to explain that he just said that he himself eats a little bit of dog food. and i was concerned when he said our dog only eats a little but i realised he meant that he is very picky.
It's actually not いますか → It's いいますか (to say). So, in the phrase you are asking "what do you say?" instead of "what is it?" Just the way of phrasing the question is different and you are basically asking for the same information. You can use either one that you feel more comfortable.
Wow.. I have alot to learn. The different versions already confuse me as to why it's done shorter and that is actually more polite, also confusing to see I think Hiragana at the top? I am barely learning Hiragana and Katakana. My son is trying to teach me since he is more experienced. I know more of sound when I been learning Japanese but definitely haven't started learning the writing at all yet 😖. Thank you so much for this video! I subscribed to this channel so I can learn and take more notes
in my first japn 111 week i learned もういちど いって ください for もういちど おねがいします. i have noticed the lessons here are all on par with how my school is running their lessons. anyone worried about buying her courses, should not worry , I looked at ゆこせんせい course plan and is very on the dot with traditional school、と思います。 今休み中です。I'm trying to keep up with my studies.
おねがいします is an independent phrase meaning "I beg you/I request you/I ask of you." ください is a verb meaning "Give me." When you combine ください with another verb as in [Verb (in TE Form)] ください, you are asking the person to give you the action, meaning "Please do (the action)" in English translation. That's why many learners misunderstand that ください literally means "please" which is not correct. I explain it in more detail in this lesson. Hope it helps! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-o4a_g8xvK90.html
Rechardさん, Yes, [TE Form] ください sounds most demanding for the phrase "please do..." among various ways for making a request in Japanese and I personally hardly use it in my daily life except for when I ask my students to do something in class. You can convert the request sound less demanding by replacing ください with other things such as [TE Form] もらえますか or [TE Form] もらってもいいですか. I explain more natural ways to request in this lesson. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-o4a_g8xvK90.html And of course, if you use the humble form of もらう which is いただくand say [TE Form] いただけますか or [TE Form]いただいてもよろしいですか, you sound even more modest and polite. I hope this helps!
If yuko sensei has a school near my town here in nagano I would transfer school so fast. Most of the japanese teachers don't speak english which I find harder to understand sometimes. I learn so much from these videos and self studying, kinda sad wasting a lot of my parents money just for me to learn japanese very slow..
Konnichiwa yuko Sensei. I just watched all your videos about particles and conjunctions. And I learnt about all the conjunctions only from you. So please tell me all the ways to say 'for' in japanese. Please tell me because I cannot find any article about this online
Hello Yuko-sensei, I have a frustrating experience. Not knowing where to begin or hitting a plateau can feel demoralizing and make it hard to hit the books and study like you know you should…Having friends from other cultures makes me more creative. In fresh ways about space and how people create their own world and environment. It is best way to connect between creative thinking and cross-cultural relationships.
ゆこ先生、Quick question... What is the right way to use or say what, why, where or when in a japanese sentence? Because I often see translation missing what or why or where when asking for a place, object, or person... It really confuses me 😞
It all depends on how you use those question words in the sentence. For instance, is the question asking "is it?" as in "where is it?" or does it have a verb as in "Where do you...? Where did you...?" Then, you need to choose a correct particle according to the verb in the question. I explain how to use "where" as an example in this lesson. Hope it helps! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dH8R--6Kypk.html
Arigato sensei, i need to ask you something that related to this. In tte, eigo se nan desuka?? Can we ask anything like verbs/nouns etc. Like, Heyatte, eigo de nan desu ka? Kawaitte, eigo de nan desu ka?
These are quite useful. One question that lingers is why we shouldn't say "Nihongo *ga* sukoshi shika wakarimasen," instead of using the subject particle *wa*.
