I am an agnostic who likes this song. What does "Rolling Stones' mean in Christian music like this? I thought it was Rolling Stoned, like the Robin Trower song but do not know what rolling stones means...
The original reference is to the Lord Jesus Christ...after dying for our sins on the cross, he was placed in a tomb, with a large stone blocking the entrance. On the 3rd Day, Jesus rose from the dead. An angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled away the stone (Mathew 28:2) as two of Jesus' followers (both named Mary) came to anoint the presumably dead body. They were quite surprised and overjoyed to learn that Jesus was not there, 'for he is risen.' So Lauren uses this to say that we too can have new life...even if we are 'too far gone' or '6 feet under'...by trusting in Christ as our savior. He's Still rolling stones. www.lyricinterpretations.com/lauren-daigle/still-rolling-stones
Adding snippets of music from the world, even if it seems innocent or fits the bill, is a dangerous mix. Careful Lauren, the enemy's wiles are subtle. We cannot ignore them. Most of those who have gone astray or have a bit of the world inside them, ignore these warnings. I mean an excerpt from the song "Something Got Me Started" by Simple Red inserted here. Excuse me if the text is not correct, because English is not my language.
