This video is perfect timing! I bought a Sweet Cream after hearing Paul Stafford Cook use one and I've never looked back. I couldn't find a Sweet Honey at the time and always wondered how they really compare. Your gain levels are very similar to mine so this is a great comparison. I have some very high end overdrives but I use the Sweet Cream 90% of the time. It can sound almost clean if you pick lightly but blooms when you dig in, it doesn't splatter like some. Great demo! I had to laugh when I saw two Sweet Honey pedals because I’m currently about to add my second Sweet Cream to my board! One set to low gain, one to medium. I love that pedal! Super dynamic, touch sensitive and warm sounding.
I was reading a text when he started and came back about a minute and hadn't realized he had switched off the Sweet Cream. Hope that saves one of you ~$100.
I like your sound and I like your approach. Maybe because you play a 335, and don't just turn the volume and gain up to the maximum like others. I wish you coiuld do a review of the Jam Pedal Red Muck mk2, because I'm gazing at the future in that direction. Right now there is a discount on 20% lasting next week, but the only thing keeping me back is the artwork looking not that harmonic. I think it is a good pedal, though, and with fender-like amp and humbuckers, I'd reallky would want your opinion on that one.
Hi, thanks 😊 I checked out a few videos now of that Jam pedal. I'm afraid it's not immediately one I would go for. I think it's cool but I seem to struggle a bit with fuzz pedals. I have a few, and put them on my board every now and then, but in a band setting I usually find myself avoiding to use them because I can't seem to make them sound good in the mix. Playing them by myself is a different story, and I tend to like that. I also tend to find it more appealing and usable with an octave fuzz, and I really like the Odin from Fjord Fuzz, also playing with a band. But these days I prefer my old clone of a Roger Mayer Octavia to take care of those kind of tones. Combining that with the sweet honey overdrive deluxe is quite a divine tone to my preference. I already ordered the Ehx Ramshead reissue, but Gilmourish wrote on his page, that it doesn't work so well on Fender amps, but how do I know. Now I'll try it out and see if I will keep it or return it. Thats how it works these days. I'm totally new to fuzz pedals, so I'm exited. It should turn up tomorrow. For 25 years I've gigged withj a TC Boost/Linedriver/distortion, a tubescreamer and a Boss delay. It has worked very well, but now I wanna try something new. Suddenly I have Formula B super Plexi, Lovepedal Amp 11, Tonecity King of Blues, SA collider and just ordered a small Delay Llama. A couple of good deals, and I'll see how many of them I'll keep. This craziness will have to stop, before I get ruined. Best wishes & thanks.

Well I think for me.. at least w the 335, the deluxe was my fav, then the standard sweet honey, then the sweet cream.. but all were close enough that I’d be happy w any of em..😁👍🏻
Hi, I agree with the order you would put the overdrive in. That said I will test the Sweet Cream a bit more because it is a very good, touch sensitive pedal. Quite impressed. Cheers!
I love Blues Breaker pedals and have one on my board. I would describe the Sweet Cream as a little warmer, maybe a slightly rounder tone to the notes and more touch sensitive than a BB which is a little more focused, a little sharper tone to the notes.
