You were right. DNA is a type of nucleic acid. Another type is RNA. The name of DNA is deoxyribonucleic acid.

Autistic minds are literal, inquisitive, creative, and in constant motion. You are correct to not establish a bias. Let young minds learn and discover. We (Autistics) have an innate ability to sort things out. Every “fact” simply becomes another question. In observing and learning about the World around us, is it really necessary to cloud and over complicate all the wonderful experiences available to us? Just as there is a time to investigate “Philosophies’”, there are many more times just to be in awe of the World around us.

I might not be Christian (I'm Pagan), but serious respect for letting them explore science as much as faith (which in my opinion don't even need to be in conflict). This also reminded me of me and my best friend (both autistic) going to the Natural History Museum in London a few months back.

I occasionally adopt wolf spiders since they don't bother me, and they hunt prey inside. I usually take them to a window so they can find the flies trying to escape 😂 sometimes they get big but usually they can't find enough food and die 😢

I remember first reading about DNA in high school biology sophomore year back in the 1990s. It looks like maybe they’re starting to introduce it earlier now, but probably not in much detail in the middle school years.

There’s a lot of relations and similarities in the animal kingdom across the times. I often wonder if evolutionary theory draws the wrong lines or connections in ancestry based on similar characteristics that actually were divergent but happened in tandem with one another. I question a lot about the fossil record because our world has always been so dynamic and eroded so quickly in some parts. Just thinking out loud 😉

I think that small space where Alistair crawled through would be a lot more fun if it passes all over the museum, through the walls, and between the floors and ceilings. Kids like Alistair might get lost in there but I’m sure they would find their way out eventually. They would be by themselves for quite a while. So they better behave well in there!

Religion starts with certainty, discourages free thought or contrary points of view, and is based on the interpretation of a story. An interpretation that is preached from a few individuals at the top of a power hierarchy. Science starts with uncertainty and keeps refining itself through testing, experimentation, and observation until a hypothesis can be formed about the world and new technologies can be created using these discovered principles.
@AutismFamilyChannel
@AutismFamilyChannel 7 месяцев назад
Sounds like a strong bias. The scientific field can be just as dogmatic as many religions, and even pious. Just have to be honest on both sides of the discussion and weigh things on a case by case basis.

I liked what you said about keeping an open mind. As Latter-Day Saints and other Christians living in a world that pushes against our beliefs, it can be hard to know what's real and what's not. I watched a documentary a few months ago called Is Genesis Real? and it talked about using science and Christianity together. What kinds of things do you like to watch about this topic? Also, I can't not talk about this, but Studio C just uploaded a sketch on RU-vid with me in the live audience!

I feel absolutely convinced that some of the drawings on native American rock art like the native American rock art from Utah depict extraterrestrials, since some of the drawings on the rock art looks like depictions of space travelers wearing astronaut helmets or strange looking creatures from UFO lore like the gray aliens 👽. Although mainstream archeologists may dismiss the idea that some of the drawings on rock art are depictions of extra terrestrials, I still feel absolutely convinced that some of the drawings on rock art are depictions of extraterrestrials.

@AutismFamilyChannel
@AutismFamilyChannel 7 месяцев назад
Thank you. My only question is our interpretation of “days” and our translation of “days” from the Hebrew word Yom. There is still a lot of debate about it and while I certainly believe God could make the earth in 6 calendar days (or 6 seconds for that matter) are we as fallible humans getting the correct message as intended? Also is God as concerned with the way we measure time or more concerned conveying that we have a 6:1 ratio of work and rest (e.g. Sabbath). Lots of interesting questions 😊

If you are talking about the lady who mentioned them taking the boys out in public, it is more likely someone not realizing how insensitive the comment was or how it sounded. Sometimes people are mean to children with disabilities and their parents when they are out in public. I remember one sad story where someone made some rude comment about how special children shouldn’t be in public. The woman was probably thinking about something like that story when she made her comment. She just didn’t realize how insensitive and hurtful her comment was. Sometimes people don’t think before they speak.
