Why would people be clapping in such a horrible performance even the girl sounded horrible. Then the swearing b who was doing that I don't get it. Then everybody started booing. Something don't sound right here Cuz normally add a event like this. People don't act like this and boo and people. Was this a comedy act or is it supposed to be like this I don't make sense. Because all the booze in the swearing.
Whenever i am down and sad, i go looking for this video. Just to see Sting cringe and Jose singing "I'll be watching you" even though he is blind, it just changes my spirit instantly.
This is Jose Feliciano style of singing and interpretation of this song. He was not off key, he did not forget words nor crack his voice. Okay, his timing was off and phrasing was way different. But sting could of showed a little grace and modesty. Hey, switch it around and have sting try to do Latin boleros or interpret Jose's song....would be the same thing only jose would show some respect. Shame on sting.
@@psychobillynumbnuts1 Sort of. If you look at the original video it's not all that different; just certain facial expressions were enlarged for comedic effect. That clapping at the end where String's fingers and wrists look paralyzed says it all.
Sting won't do it because he knows he'd butcher it and doesn't want to humiliate himself. If you're not a circus performer, don't walk a tightrope across a cage full of lions if you value your life just because the opportunity came up
You can guess how TIRED Sting must be of this song. And still he has to listen to it time and time again, played by people who have no clue of what theyre doing.

Has anyone heard Sting say anything about this afterwards or Jose for that matter. This is beyond redemption. An apology or an explanation on what went wrong is in order.

Wow... This thing belongs on one of those "Golden Throats" comedy CDs. How Sting avoided breaking into laughter is a mystery. And to think I landed here just after first hearing Eva Cassidy's "Fields of Gold". What a brutal transition. Jose is to the guitar here as Bob Dylan is to the harmonica. I wish that were the worst part of it.
You know Sting was sitting there thinking I have got to keep it together, keep the horror off of my face, I cant let on how horrible this is but utterly failing.
I wonder if Jose Feliciano has text to speech for these comments and the female robot voice is just reading people roast him endlessly as Feliciano downs his 5th Cuba libre
I love how the guest female singer couldn't even be bothered to learn the lyrics before the show. A bit like the artist himself only having just learned to play the guitar
