Yep, it costs a little more, but it's definitely worth it. I have replacement costs on everything in my home and have specialty items like guns and jewelry as scheduled items. I had to provide photos to the insurance company of my major items and appraisals for the guns and jewelry, but I don't have to worry about receiving the depreciated value if something happens. If I can't replace a scheduled item I receive what it's appraised at and anything else I just need to find the closest thing to it that I can if I want to replace it, if not I the insurance company pays me the price of the item I found like it. It's a small price to pay if anything happens to my home, and I have to rebuild. I could never build it for the same amount I did originally, and with today's prices, it's the only way to guarantee that the insurance company will cover the cost, minus my 1% deductible.

Well they barely proved the one rug, so they weren't that great of plaintiffs.

Typical. You would like plaintiffs who spoke to JM in a quite aggressive manner from the get go. You like it so much, that you simply ignore the fact they couldn’t prove their case at all and only kept making baseless accusations. Even claiming the defendant’s company froze (!) their stuff (when they were in the hallway) without as much as a shred of evidence! While you normally bend over backwards in your comments about ‘how JM didn’t make the right decision’, always going into the legal aspects of the case… Pathetic.
