A great day out with the Mavic, Sterling Castle and the Wallace Monument on a rare sunny Autumn day, just managed to squeeze the monument in before sunset.
Thank You! So much for this video. I grew up in America. But every time I was in Scotland. Always felt like home! I know I have strong connections with Bruce and Wallace. Ps. I had a chance to meet James Horner. Before Braveheart was in the movie theaters. My favorite movie and soundtrack. So sad about James. A real musical genius!
5 years ago I was on a cycling tour heading from north to south through this area, trying to find my way from Dunblane to the Carron Valley to camp for the night. OMG was that a hard task, with the myriad of roads, rivers and anti-cyclist hills (sharp up-downs within a short distance, rather than long stretches of moderate climbs). But it was so worth it; for the vistas of these fantastic monuments, the really beautiful countryside, and to experience the charity of the people there to help this exhausted Englishman to get through it. I won't be going back there via bicycle though.... one of the toughest regions I've ever encountered on a bike. Even along the north coast of Scotland was easier than that stretch.
My name is Robert Stirling. I was very interested in your drone footage of Stirling Castle as my ancestors came from here a long time ago. I got quite emotional watching this and thinking about my Stirling fore bearers. Thank you for posting this.
amazing - our second request to use some of your footage! Could we use this in a video - it has a Scottish history theme and feel to it. Would credit etc. Best.
Hey man can you please tell me where you get your music for this video? Im coming back to Scotland and Ireland soon with a Gopro. I was hoping to make my own great video.
I starting filming when the sun was low in front of the castle, by the time I moved location to the monument the sun was setting and the small Mavic camera struggled, not helped by the fact I left the ND filter on the lens after the castle shoot. I will only have notched down exposure where required. Thanks for watching and have fun with the Mavic Air.
Hello, is there a way to use this footage in an edit for Scottish folk band Constant Follower? We just shot a live performance at the top of the monument and are now looking for some drone footage to accompany the edit. Thanks
Hi, we are making a small video for the Bloody Scotland Book Festival. The video is to try and encourage people to visit other areas of interest within Stirling. Would it be ok to use a a few shots of your drone footage of Stirling castle? Thanks
@@myme1 No problem, I'm sorry I made that assumption, I've deleted my previous message. I get an awful lot of requests to use footage by chancers who take the footage and are never heard from again. All I ask is something small for charity, if you could donate to the following charity I would be very grateful. www.chas.org.uk/donate
The Hovering Scotsman - Hi, thanks for your reply, I fully understand it must be very frustrating for you. I will make sure to donate to your chosen charity. Very much appreciate you letting me use it. Thanks again.
