I think because you do such a good job with your pups, walking and paying attention to them all the time, this one time they were left alone for a bit shows that they don’t get anxious and did fine!! Glad your Friday night turned out well! The men in our lives tend to do “their own thing” so they plan something without telling you! 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ And now I think I want to stitch this Santa!!
What a lovely treat to sit this evening and stitch along with you - found myself nodding and mm-hmming along with you when you talked about just wanting to be at home when you’re cranky, and laughed right out loud at Darren’s “smarter t shirt” LOL. Hope you have a fab week! - Nic x
Have really enjoyed your company whilst stitching on my snow maiden this afternoon 😊 also, seeing you work on this has made me put kitting this Santa to the top of my list! I have the pattern but had sort of forgotten about him. Yours is looking fab.
I agree Teresa, I leave my house at 5:20 am, drive 47 miles, then work my shift, then drive the 47 miles home. Thankfully I get to work from home two days a week. I’m envious of people that drive 10 miles to work
I agree! I am perfectly content being at home. I don’t need others to entertain me all day. And I really really dislike small talk, lol. I have a good time when I go out. But I don’t “need” to do it constantly. I am feeling especially thankful for my hobbies now 😂
Thanks for sharing Theresa, as you get older you could find a similar job with less hrs closer to home maybe? I only work 18 hrs a week as homecare domiciliary, I found after my hip surgery I wasn’t wanting to work full time as I don’t drive, then took ill the following yr and had major surgery and 2 yrs of treatment, so reduced hours again. I could have come out on medical grounds but I couldn’t afford too, I could now but enjoy being out and about, it’s the perfect balance, 3 6 hr days, with an hours break thrown in, and on my doorstep too. Have a lovely week ❤
I love your Santa , what is the glitter cloth and ct your stitching on so pretty, I glad you went out sometimes we need force ourselves to get out and have fun. I’m turning 62 and here in States 67 use to be like 62-65 . Not sure if I can make it since I’m home care nurse and see pts in home and I’m sometimes on my knees or on floor lol Doing leg wounds. Then I get home I’m tired too. And my jack Russell terrier mix wants to play. And family and cooking. But I can find plenty things to do with retiring. Quilting, sewing, jewelry earrings making, and cross stitching and working in gardening in spring and summer.
I love stitching along with you! Thank you for taking the time to film this. Its always nice to spend time with you and others on Sundays or repeated viewing during the week. Take care until next time!
Thank you! You sound like me I can stay home. I never used to be that way until my husband was diagnosed with cancer. Now I can't remember what day it is half the time 😂 And don't even ask me what the date is! Like you, I look back at what I used to do and think how in the world did I do all of that! Again thank you for sharing, makes me feel like I am not a misfit 😂😊
I can so relate to needing an 'easier' project at times!!! I found I had ALL my projects took great concentration! I was making errors left and right when I realized I need to work on and have ready an 'easier' project that does not involve a lot of specialty, decorative, intricate, thread changing left and right OR constant counting! I did exactly that and started an 'easy' project for myself!!! It happens to be one of the NEW Nashville market releases, The Chicken Club, but I didn't 'join' it, I only want 3 chickens! I'd LOVE to get them stitched up and finished all 3 together, use some type of rustic frame that will match my kitchen, use magnets on the back and stick it on the top of my refrigerator which would be the freezer! That will be the perfect project that won't take a ton of thinking and it will also make me SMILE!!! I can also relate to you about just wanting to stay home on whatever day! NOT doing the hair and makeup, etc! We ALL need days like that! And sometimes men just do not understand! Frustrating!!!! Lol!!! Also, the fabric you have chosen to stitch Santa on is absolutely gorgeous and I cannot imagine any better to stitch it on! Beautiful job stitching as well!! WOW!!!
Thank you Teresa for this hour or stitching together. I have a job where I can work from home as well. We recently moved (got our first house!) so I'm further away from office and the traffic is horrendous. My commute isn't as long as yours but my drive there and back is at least 1.5h. It gets tiring, I could've used that time in a better way. I have no idea how you do 2 hrs one way by train! By lunchtime I would either have a mental breakdown in the toilet or fall asleep at my desk.
Hi Erica I will have to have a look but from the picture I think one side is the blue and the other side is the red??? I better check I've not stitched the wrong colour now lol
I am not very good with last min plans or changes , I need plenty of notice . I love being at home and only go out to work or if I really need to. Doing my hobbies , gardening, and jobs round the house makes me happy and content. My work colleagues don't get it that I am friendly but just not sociable. They are always organising nights out and I don't go. I am fortunate that it takes 15/20 mins to walk to work. I work in our local hospital in orthopaedics theatres. Its a long day on your feet and heavy at times. I am 57 and thinking also will I manage it till 68 😅
I started this on Friday ! Great to see your progress Have you ever tried a double ended needle? I find they are really good for 2 handed stitching! It took a while to get used to it but find I stitch a bit quicker
Hi Theresa, lovely job on your Winter White Santa. You sound just like me, you sound very real. I sometimes wonder how some of the flosstubers get so much done.it’s very grounding to know that I’m not the only one that has to put other things before my stitching.your work is beautiful. Could I ask are you using the paper pattern or Good Notes? Or at e you using Pattern Keeper, if so how did you upload the pattern to pattern keeper.
As always, very much enjoyed the stitch with me. Just an FYI in case you don't already know - you were slammed with ads in this video. I stopped counting at ten and you still had a good ways to go. Not sure if that's how you set it up or if FT is just having fun. Steph
@@cross_stich_happy_alena9035 Isn't that strange? There were none till about 6 minutes in and then they came frequently. It's been happening on just a few of the ones I watch lately (not most). If it had been the odd one or two, I wouldn't have mentioned it. Hmmmm.
Oh Teresa, just don’t know how you do that commute…..someone closer to your home would love to employ you I’m sure…..work, life balance is so important.x
I enjoy your channel so much ,beautiful Santa. Want to start some day that other Santa from Mirabilla. Think it's a OOP one. Question: what count is this? And the face is 1 over one?.
Thoroughly enjoyed stitching with you just now, late Monday night into Tuesday morning, here on the east coast of the U.S. in New Jersey. I totally understand what you mean about talking to like minded people. Do you follow Silver Creek Samplers? She released a chart you might like for a quick stitch. I'll message you. 😉
THANK YOU for that Tereasa for saying that. Commuting to work when I have a perfectly good computer and high speed internet at home, all so some boss can stand over me to make sure I work is insulting!!!! Oh, and let's not forget the petrol prices!!! I don't need anyone to make sure I work. For 10 years I did my best work at my highest performance when I worked at home. I got $1000 gold accolades, a $500 bronze accolades and raises at 7% because of a high performance when I worked from home. Not everyone is cut out to be crowded in with a bunch of people. I feel drained when I'm in the office and it's hard to concentrate with all that blabbing going on around me. I want to be with people but only when I want to be with people, not because some boss can't trust their employees to do their work. If some employees can't do their work without the boss standing over them then they need to be FIRED. We are not in 1st grade anymore and bosses need to wise up. If you cant trust your people, FIRE THEM and let the rest of us work where we choose. The rest of us are adults. Thank you so much Tereasa, for voicing exactly how I feel, we are like minded on that one! Thanks for letting me rant.
