@@B16a_EM1 I'm building d2b plate, so I could use a my b16 transmission with this engine. I also have a crazy ported d16y8 manifold with a bisimoto big camshaft and a sk2 stage 4 camshaft
It barely makes any power after 8200-8300. After 8k you are starting to exceed normal piston speeds for most honda engine redline. D15 roughly reaches the same piston speed as b18, k20 @ 8k and d16, h22 @ 7.5k
True but it make it faster even if it doesnt make more Power cause when he shift he fall more in His Power band, make this setup d2b with itr 4.7 or simply b16a trans and it Will Do wonder to this Little 1.5l
@@isaaccyrenne6512 you got it right. The reason I shift high is this 1.5 has no torque and if I shift around 7.5k. My power band will fall off next gears
@kainestefaniak2751 d15b7 is lowest hp option for eg civics... it was the base model engine. Close to the same engine d15b2 from certain efs. Non vtec with low compression
@@gameovertune9018 and the skunk2 stage 4 cam, your custom header and what do you run for an exhaust? 93 octane? Makes me wanna do some mods to my d15 mini me
@@destroiyou skunk2 camshafts not installed yet. 2.5 ebay exhaust cut out. Everything is still stock beside aftermarket vavle spring and cx racing head bolt. Its tune on e85
Now you got me intrigued for my b2/z6 setup. What ECU you running? Chipped p28? I still need to do the MPFI swap and replace my bad pistons from oil consumption to p29's and maybe upgrade the rods for the .5mm bump
The game has begun 😅.... This guy has come far and for what he does with stock potential with today's tools and fuel tuning maximizing whp and tq. Not every tuner that we see on RU-vid on the daily will sit and tune your shit 24/7. They only go so far and it stops there. This guy can do trial and errors and retest different parts and whatever that works and will keep going until it is satisfied. Keep on rocking say hi to your brother for me....
All rev limiter can be removed. Besides the mechanical limit of diesel engine's self ignition. Gasoline engines can basically rev until destruction. That's why there is a limiter set to a tested spec at factory or by a tuner who changed the max load the engine can take. Running without one is dangerous especially in low gears where the rpm can shoot up fast if not careful you will blow by slipping up for one second. Therefore it's advised to just raise the limiter instead of removing it. Many people do it nonetheless.
@@redcrafterlppa303 My d16b civic 1996 reaches max 95kmph on the 2nd gear whereas I have seen others reach above 105kmph Any reason for that power loss?
@@cheesyaffan235 im 100% *not* a mechanic. But if you experience too little power at some point (and you are sure you won't break your engine) you either have to little fuel or to little air. So either adjust the fuel map or improve the intake. (forced induction or less intake restriction). Rather you run to rich or to lean can be determined by the amount of left unburned fuel in the exhaust system. Which should be an available metric in the ECU. Ps: Don't blame me if you engine blows under to much load 😉👍
@@cheesyaffan235 Its not power loss, rather different gearboxes or RPM limiters. With the same gearbox and a different RPM limit like lets say, 7k and 8k ofc youre going to have more speed at top rpm in the 8k
