A wander around Stock-Ghyll waterfalls and Ambleside......Not impressed with Ambleside its so pedestrian unfriendly and the lake is miles away from the town so moved on to Grasmere.........hope you enjoy the video.
Grasmere is just stunning, almost a safe haven in the Lakes. Ambleside is way too touristy with people that care little about being outdoors. Very fond memories of Stock Ghyll. Lovely watching this. Cracking views over Grasmere and the surrounding fells. Great time lapse looking towards the Lion and the Lamb. 👍
Yes Grasmere is a liitle haven I agree.........I find Ambleside to be a bit pedestrian unfriendly and people seem to be in a rush......thanks for the great comment......ATB.....Stu/Wendy..👍👍
Hi Stu/Wendy, funny I've been editing our Wansfell video today and we started via Stock Ghyll Force. It's a really nice way to start a hike. So Ambleside didn't impress you, I think it's more of a shopping place than anything else, we would much prefer Grasmere too. That time lapse there was great. Regards, Ashley
Much appreciated Ashley.......Ambleside is a bit ''messy'' and not really pedestrian friendly, the place is nice enough, its the layout im not keen on........Out of the larger towns I like Keswick and Grasmere as a small favourite..........Look forward to your Wansfell video(I was going to do that on the day but decided on Grasmere)...thanks again......ATB.....Stu/Wendy...👍👍
@@ashleyjarnold We tried to find that garden centre......it must be out of town is it?....the one in Grasmere used to be good before covid.....we always bought a garden ornament in there to take home but now there are hardly any in the whole centre.......Really like Buttermere(and Crummock) too....👌.
