For Acura Rsx Type-S. Buidling a budget boost. How much power should i go, if my aim is to make the car last really long, since i’m planning to make it my daily driver and have some fun on the weekends? On the side note the car is hitting 180k, so i don’t want to boost it but then end up spending more coz my engine blew up.

Just a single DW400 pump can support that? Stock hardlines or you need to run -8 or -10 lines? You guys should sell fuel kits to help us out (along side your turbo kits).

Dw400 pump. -6an feed line. The old stock feed line is now the return line

If its a daily you don't... Trust me... If its a daily, you wanna stay in the 400whp ballpark.. Super reliable at that power level, able to put the power down far more easily, No need for a crazy heavy clutch(fx300 range), and far less stress overall. Get a decent wheel and tire setup with traction control, and beef up the tranny a bit and you are golden. Also, these cars are not fun to drive without Power steering, and I'd personally keep AC.. I got the custom AC kit for the DC5 so I relocated the lines. For me, having a daily Honda is about power, putting the power down, but also about comfort. I hated the drone and how creaky mine was with stiffer mounts so I had my whole car professionally sound deadened and the thing is so quiet in the cabin. Still vibrations, but now at least Im not hearing every little creaks and metal on metal contact. Its still a 12-second car at the track.

Someone had a AWD stock long block boosted at 27 psi making 550 whp and it shot a rod after many passes at the strip. It was a K20A3. . It can be done but for how long will stock engines last holding that power.

Just out of curiosity, when do you guys see a return less fuel system being necessary. I read over 400 hp somewhere. What’s your opinion?

400 to 450 you switch the return less on the 02 -04 rsx and I think 8th gen si basically if you got to forced induction period you should probably switch it's gonna open up the potential for significant power gains over the return less system

Stock is 93 octane high compression so it ain't just throwing reg pump gas it's the best your getting at the pump anything less loses power 91 is minimum with power lose and anything below is gonna cause detonation unless you switch to e85

dc5's aint even heavy.. And you can make them SUPER light.. Get a carbon hatch, remove the interior and and all the other BS you dont need, and Ive seen people with 24-2500 occupied DC5's..
