The Stoke Row Steam Rally Classic Show never disappoints with a eclectic collection of classic car and commercials and this years show was as good as ever!
As usual very good . Love the Viva HA and also the HB ,incidentally the HA had a 1057cc engine theHB had an 1159 engine.I am just restoring my first car an HA that I used in the ASEMC Rally Championship ,the London Counties Rally Championship and the Motoring News Rally Championship shown on RU-vid so hopefully it will be something a bit different!
Thanks, it was great to see Viva HA and HB in the same show but sadly no HC for the full set! Hope to see them all at Vaux ALL at the British Motor Museum in August.
Always nice to see a Figaro. That Themes looks brilliant and would be a great vehicle for running local errands. I still remember how modern the Rover 600 looked at the time compared to the R8 and the Accord origins were certainly no bad thing. The MK2 Granny Ghia looks the business, I actually saw a 2.3 litre pre facelift today. I'm growing very fond of those Rover P4. The P6 still looks cutting edge and very deserving of car of the year. Love that Mini van which retained the pressed steel grill I'd love to see more of that Zephyr camper, such a unique vehicle. The.P1800 is a stunning car though I found it challenging to get in and out of. The Sunbeam Alpine is a beautiful car and still a little under the radar as far as classic sports cars go. Those pre facelift Bedford CF look just like the American vans that were all the rage back in the 70's and really lend themselves to a bit of customisation.
Nice editing so you see some of the cars static and then moving. I was struck by the lack of European cars ( with one notable exception!). What do you that down to Simon ?
Thanks Kevin, I thought adding some moving vehicles made it a bit more interesting! I was keeping the European side up, but I did expect to see a few more EU brands…
