We’re playing this at our school! I can’t be more excited to play this piece and be able to possibly talk to the composer! This is a good piece from my perspective (alto saxophone)
Thanks for being excited about my music! It’s so cool seeing young musicians enjoying band. I’m honored that my music is helping to make your band experience special 😊
Hey thanks so much for finding me here on RU-vid and for digging my music 🥰 You should check out one of my other pieces, “Ghost in the Machine!” It has a REALLY cool Clarinet part. I’m very proud of how that one turned out 😊
This song is nice and easy its a nice sight reading peice and Mr. Eden thank you so much for going on call on zoom for the deerfield beach middle school band I was there and it was wonderful hearing about you!
Hey thanks so much for appreciating my music! It was awesome getting to chat with you guys over Zoom! I always love getting to meet performers of my work 😊
We are playing this for our spring concert and I love this since I'm a tenor sax and it sounds nice and you probably know my band director it's Mary withers
Hey there! Thanks for liking my music and for leaving a comment. It means a lot ❤️ I love hiding those jokes in the music, and it’s so cool to hear musicians like you appreciate them 😄
I played this in May and it was amazing. Thanks for making such an awesome piece. I think we had a meeting with you, our teacher Mr. Scafiddi had us video call you i think
@@pan_frogg 😱 I just now saw this. So sorry you missed that day. Ask your director to do another piece of mine. I ALWAYS offer a zoom call with my pieces 😊
Im a ben hill student that you went on zoom with, we didnt demonstrate the song but i had Tambourine and scratched my knuckles on the sand paper on accident 😂
Hi there! Thanks for finding me on here and for playing my music! I’ve hurt myself playing all kinds of instruments, but never like that 😂 How long until your knuckles heal?
I went to my school concert and the MS band played it, i was supposed to play it with my fellow bandmates (6th grade clarinet) but y'know school expelled me. but the concert was awesome!! (video is on my channel IF you want to check it out)
I just watched the performance on your channel and your band played the piece beautifully! Thanks for posting it 🥰 I’m really impressed by your continued support of your band even though you weren’t able to perform with them. It demonstrates your genuine love for music and your band. Hang in there. This expulsion is only one moment in your life and will not define you. What will define you (as a musician and in life) is your spirit of commitment and collaboration which your comment and posting of the video clearly demonstrates. I hope things start looking up for you very soon ❤️
@@scratcheden thank you! I really do love band and music, my mom said that i have always had a love for music. My band director said i was a better clarinet player and would hate to lose me, so when she did she was really disappointed. thank you for supporting me!
Hey thanks for loving my music. I used to go on RU-vid and comment about my favorite music as well. It’s so cool to see my music is inspiring that same effect in you. Please let me know if you do wind up performing the piece and how it goes 😊
❤️ I’m so glad you guys like my music! Knowing there are students like you out there requesting to play my music in class means so much to me! Latin Fire is a great piece, btw! I’m sure you guys will have fun with that one too!
Oh my gosh!! This is such awesome piece!! I’m playing this piece right now and I can’t get over how great it sounds. I saw the little note at the bottom >:) and luckily I brought my imaginary football with me at school so I threw it at a clarinet (aka my friend lol) and I think I she caught it so YAY! I WIN! I’m a flute btw :D
Amazing piece to play and I’m in concert band even though it’s for beginning it’s a good song. Lot of zoom meetings you’ve been in, but keep making good songs!
Hey thanks for liking my music! Yeah, I’ve been doing a lot of Zoom Calls lately 😂 It was so eye-opening for me when my school brought in the composer of something we were playing. I know a lot of schools can’t afford that experience, so I’m offering the Free Zoom Call to any class playing my stuff for the foreseeable future. Thank you for supporting my work! New music coming out in August 😉
I am playing this and have a school concert with this in it, it is such a cool song! I can’t wait to do the concert! In my perspective it is a awesome song to do with middle school bands.( Alto sax)
@@scratcheden I did my concert not to long ago and we did amazing! Everything went to plan and most important of all, we had fun. Thank you for causing some of my core middle school memories😊
@@elligalloway4773 Thank you so much for coming back and telling me about your concert! I’m thrilled to know your band enjoyed my music and that you had a successful performance! As a composer, I’m constantly trying to recreate the band experiences I had growing up for the next generation of musicians. It’s crazy to hear MY music made an impact in your band experience and that it meant something to you, just as other composers’ music meant so much to me. Thanks again for liking what I’m doing. It means a lot ❤️
Hey there! Thanks for liking my music! I should be zooming with your class very soon! Be sure to let me know you commented here when we’re on the call 😃
@@love_God777Yeah Wait, what??? That's SO COOL!!! I'm so honored you took the time to look me up on here and comment about my music. I used to do the same thing when I was in school and I'm so happy that my music inspired the same effect in you. Thank you for playing and enjoying my music!
@@bellarose4838 That they do! I try to feature EVERYONE as best I can. The low brass just happened to be my main motivator when writing it. The flutes have that really nice solo moment that’s really dramatic. I love hearing groups play that part 😊
Not rude at all. I’m not the best sound mixer (in terms of music production) and I might have gone a little overboard with the compressor on this one 😂
Hey there! You’re not wrong about the repetition. I played percussion in band, myself, so I totally understand where you’re coming from. As a composer, sometimes you have to choose whether to have something harder to play but more repetitive OR more varied but easier to play. This is especially the case when it comes to beginning band music (and even more-so with beginning percussion parts). The best composers can make sure ALL parts are just challenging and varied enough that the player has a great time making music while also having an educational experience. This is something I am actively working to improve in my own writing, especially for my fellow percussionists out there! Thanks for playing my music! Check out “Marooned Martian” and “Ghost in the Machine” if you wanna see some other stuff that has a little more variety in the percussion section!
