It really sucks when your bike gets stolen. Thankfully it was recovered and repaired by Dr. Speed, as was mine.

Do all bikes have those safety screws? I don’t have access to a drill, I was planning on doing it by myself

Just cut with screw driver to turn them but have to heat it up first to break the locktight on them then use the screw driver once its cooled down it will open as hell thats how did mine

Hi mate I’m sorry you had your bike stolen It hurts so much watching you do that. I had my 2007 fireblade Stolen and I got it back the police found it unfortunately they didn’t tell me who stole it. It absolutely devastated me it was Christmas time 2 years ago when it was taken. Anyway I’m not to good with the mechanical things so I’m not sure what to do. After 6 months of it sitting around exactly as it was the day I had to pay $400 to pick it up if you can believe that I’m finally ready to hopefully give it to someone to start rebuilding it back to a track bike I hope. The ignition barrel is not there the bike was beautiful when they took it and apart from some horrible changes with the fairings it looks reasonable. I just thought I’d ask your opinion if possible? They were obviously riding it I think? Up until it was found. I spoke to two mechanics the first question I got was does it run? I’ve got no idea. I was told petrol tank would be no good fuel pump filters all that would be no good. At a rough guess yesterday including new good quality fairings I was told around the 4 grand mark. I’m finally about to pick it up it’s been locked away for a bit and it’s hard to look at but it’s time to hopefully give my old bike the care it needs to come back from the horrible place it was after it was stolen. Anyway have a nice Christmas mate and all the best. And to all the bike riders that treasure there bikes please be extremely careful Dont ever leave your bike unattended without locks everywhere and never leave it in an open carport Mine was stolen 10 meters away from me and 5 meters away from my mum and dad while we were sleeping. The one time I didn’t have it locked up and covered the next morning I came outside to go for a ride and was literally sick to my stomach and still am when I came outside to find it gone. Ride safe.

Thank you. So my ignition barely turns anymore and I can replace it myself... However, is there something with an immobilizer that won't allow a new aftermarket key/ignition to work? I dont want to buy one to find out it wont work. I have a 2014 Honda cb500x. Thank you

Having had my bike stolen, those security bolts wouldn't have done anything at all. They came by at 4 am with a trailer and just took it away. Now I'm replacing the ignition cylinder they broke.

I have a FJR1300 2005 which has an alarm. So when you replace the key switch yoiu also have to change the ECU as it is paired with it for the alarm to work.... more expence...

Hello! Super quick question for you or the community. My bike was stolen and they added like 3 layers of spray paint to the bike. Bike is originally a black 2020 R3 so is there an easy or best way to remove the spray paint ?

Can you just buy new ignition offline and put it on ur 06 gsxr 600cc I just did full motor swap on my buddy bike after it was recovered and he order new ignition I put in new motor and we turn key don’t hear fuel pump, so tried starting fluid , no spark, so I’m guessing it something to do with his new key set up he ordered any one help me plz

The way you do it looks very simple,but for that's just too complicated,maybe is just too much for my brain
