Pretty nice list, straightforward and efficient. I built a mono green as well but I think overall it lacks a snowballing effect. I play a couple of Case of the Locked Hothouse and 2 Vorinclex so after turn 4 or 5, crazy things can happen. Although sometimes I'm behind and never able to cast a 4 mana enchantment that doesn't put any pressure. So it might not be the right choice but I really think mono green needs to find its snowball to become tier 1 again.
Yeah I agree it still needs some pieces to get back to tier 1. I think it can sneak into tier 2 which to me is huge. It has been so long now. The only thing I've found consistent success with is more on the aggro side. Where you can curve 1-4 drops and your creatures keep scaling.
6:15 I was also thinking Wurmlet cause of the deathtouch with bite spells, but you’d have to include something like Tough Cookie to make it consistent enough. Could be a way to go, and I could see swapping Quirion Beastcaller out for it, but then we lose Kodama synergy. Then again, if you went that route you could drop Kodama for 2 more Sentinels lol. Thats what testing is for! This deck is great as is💪
I love your line here. I agree that we change one thing we then change three or four things. Once beastcaller is out Kodama is out so we have lots of free spots. I love the wurmlet and maybe the artifact build of this deck is best. Like you said so much play testing to try with this one. It is why my intro was so long. So many ways you can go.
@@AceMTG here is the decklist, i have a built-in cankerbloom for those nasty enchantments like temporal lockdown/leyline binding, 2cc for 3/2 would still boost our adaptives and rookies plus we can proliferate our counters for late game moves. And also tribute for our card draw engine. 19 Forest 2 Mirrex 1 Boseiju, Who Endures 4 Evolving Adaptive 4 Ascendant Packleader 4 Quirion Beastcaller 2 Sharp-Eyed Rookie 2 Cankerbloom 3 Pugnacious Hammerskull 2 Polukranos Reborn 2 Kodama of the West Tree 4 Axebane Ferox 4 Doomskar Warrior 3 Tyvar's Stand 2 Tamiyo's Safekeeping 2 Tribute to the World Tree Sideboard 2 Pick your poison 2 Tamiyo's Safekeeping 1 Tyvar's Stand 2 The Filigree Sylex 2 Obstinate Baloth 2 Thrun, Breaker of Silence 2 Nissa, Ascended Animist 2 The Skullspore Nexus
I was torn there as well. I love the card draw I get when doomskar comes down but miss the haste damage needed against control or just to curve out and keep the pressure. @@verin18
I brewed a mono-green and my deck was mostly the same but a put the instant that gives hexproof and the ward and +1/+1 enchantment on it and the archmage charm cause it can just work. Trying to worked a tranquil frillback into the list to. Also i like scapegoat a lot because it can shift over that menace to any bigger body that comes in after it
Thanks. I almost trashed it cause once I finished I was like oh no it's ten minutes. But I have time stamps so people can skip it. I just like the talk about options for this deck and different ways you could go.
With a second evolve creature that gives you card advantage and some decent removal I think this deck can be at the very least decent, people have being waiting for mono green to be good and is great to finally seeing it happen even if is slowly.
We have been getting one or two good green cards a set and then I'm so sad because Mono-Green is not there. This set seems to tip it to playable but next set we need another two really good green cards and we will have something.
I only ever really find success on Arena with mono green creatures that cost 4 mana or less. I have tried so many rare and mythic green only cards in Standard and I always do better when I ditch them and load up on the cheaper stuff. The 2 mana investigator and 4 mana Ferox are what green needed for a long time in Standard.
I'm wondering a little bit about the good performance of the Mono-Green Aggro deck. 🤔 Because there are not that many new additions from MKM to this archetype. 🧐 So I definately agree with giving it a purple belt and not a brown belt. Not even talking black belt. By the way, we definately need some more nice Ace MTG emotes, at least someone with a "thinking" pose. 🙂
The one mana bite spell and another two mana creature that grows was huge. They played so nicely with the deck. Green gets one or two cards a set so I think if next set we can get another two we might start to have something.
