The first of our FFXIV lore video series has arrived! We take a look at the Soul Crystals that can be found in the world of Eorzea and dive into the power within each crystal! The Soul Crystals found in Final Fantasy XIV have a very curious lore to them as well as very important in game implications!
Join us as we begin our first journey through the lore of Eorzea!

Great video, and hey if you like making lore videos i'd like to see videos about each race in ffxiv if there is any lore behind that lol.........keep up the good work :D

Heyo! Thank you for that support and im glad you liked it! Some race lore videos do sound like they will be fun! I'll do some research andf start planning out a series for that!

I don't think BLU crystals are empty. They have the knowledge necessary to learn skills from monsters, just none of the skills FROM monsters them selves. MCH is likely similar, having base knowledge of the craft of gun based marksmanship. but none of the more specific knowledge.

Yeah the more I think on it, the more I think this very well could be the case. Without any kind of baseline or foundation, the stones would be pretty much a paperweight. So I very much like this thought! X3

BLU crystals and MCH crystals are new, they're not empty because we're attuning OUR aether to them. whilst BLU functions differently and you have to go out and learn the skills through seeing them and totems as opposed to other jobs, BLU stones are moreso about the "capability" of learning them - you as the person holding the job stone attune and "learn" the ability to LEARN the abilities. machinist job stone is completely empty and you are the first one to use it so canonically all of the flashy skill stuff you see in animations is purely the warrior of light's flair for theatrics. you learn how to do the job foundations, with the crystal on, during the first couple of job quests which gives the foundations to the job stone itself.
