It's amazing to see how stonemasons work and how strong and clever they are. They are very fast and wall's are rising every day higher and higher !!!Very happy we found them

I’m so glad the professional stonemasons are there. The build is happening so quickly. My grandfather was a stonemason over 100 years ago. The houses he built are still standing. You will be cooking in the new kitchen very soon I think❤️❤️

Wow, the strength of the stone masons is amazing! They toss rocks about like they are ping pong balls! Such an amazing job the are doing, it’s going to absolutely amazing when the brickworks completed! I still can’t believe just how quickly they are getting the walls built! It really was a great find when you found your builders. ❤

I could watch that stone mason for days. What an artist! I thought they used a tripod with a hoist to lift those huge rocks. I'm near speechless! Dont show him how to set up a utoob channel. He'll buy an excavator to lift that granite and turn soft as a marshmallow.

To think,back in the day, a similar amount of hefty work was done to provide a small storage space! Or animal shed ( not using so large stones im sure on most of it )..our ancestors certainly were not put off by hard work for little reward! Its going to make a cute little kitchen now though ❤

Great job guys. Everything looks amazing but the kitchen is pretty small by the time you put in your cupboards. It’s going to be a very tight space all this work for for a little small kitchen. Hopefully you won’t regret it. Speaking from experience as I’ve done many renovations in kitchens. Best of luck. Hope all goes well Maria.

Such a pleasure to watch real craftsmen at work. I don't think it's fanciful to think that real masons of this kind "read" the stone that they have to work with and shape them intuitively. A little scary to watch them working with such weights on scaffolding or six feet up on half-shaped walls and that kind of work environment wouldn't be tolerated here in our modern nanny-state of too many rules and regulations. On the other hand, my late mother's brothers worked in the construction trade in the old days before much in the way of safety procedures and one died and the other was maimed over the course of their careers from falls on construction sites.

I presume you are making the barn into your home. Will there be an internal doorway through from the kitchen. With the walls being so thick you probably will find it warm in winter. Are the inside walls being rendered or painted. Did I perhaps miss the explanation of the build on another video. The strength of these stone masons is unbelievable. The way they handle the heavy stones they could easily win the strongman competitions.

Hello, we did explained our plans in videos before .. but was long time ago .. maybe we should do it again ;) We not planning to do internal doorway as we don't want to wate wall space in a barn and in kitchen ..it will work as we will have big long terrace going on as well so all will be connected that way

Loving the long, slow looks up the stonework to appreciate the artistry... very cool patterns our eyes come across to pause & admire. Did Vicente have suggestions for storage in your granite kitchen if you won't be hanging cabinets? Open shelving will look nice with the stone, no? contrasting cool stone with warm woods? Maybe you'll have one of those slim rolling slide-out pantry shelves next to fridge to corral spices, canned goods, dry staples? Hang pots & pans overhead from a chef's rack that you pull up or let down? Cabinets along bottom walls should be fine, right? Your beams. And also the roses, are looking great.

I'm wondering why you didn' enlarge a little bit the kitchen as you put down the old area?!?!?! And one sugestion is to open a door ftom the kitchen to the other space in the barn, cause when it's raining or cold you'll have to go outside. Nice job with the stones! Best regards from Brasil.

we had to stick with existing wall footprint unfortunately. We will have terrace all the way so it will be protected and will be one big outdoor area x

That big lad is an absolute machine, but I have a feeling by the time he is 40 his knees and hips will let him know they are very unhappy with his large rock lifting skills over the years🤣🤣
