"Don't hit anyone with a steel chair, we're trained professionals" .......A Few moments earlier "Nobody teaches you this stuff, it's on the job learning"
"I did that to The Rock in '17 when I turned heel" I love when wrestlers casually slip back into wrestling speak in public. Haha. He probably had no idea what he was talking about
It's not even the chair shots, it's the basic wrestling. These fuckers are out there playing patty cake with eachother lol I love their excuse.. "It's safer" yet still overwork house shows giving wrestlers more injuries than ever yet "Better ease up on the hitting.". It's mind blowing how out of touch the business has become.
@@XxShadowGTxX I hear you, but on the other hand considering what we now know about concussions and CTE, I understand why they go that route. Daniel Bryan is the best example I can give you about that subject. Same deal with Chris Nowinski and Christian
@@tyrellmiles1467 mate... chris benoit is the best example on that subject the mans brain was fucked from diving headbutts and the unprotected chair shot on the odd occasion
Man if Austin’s neck could hold up he would still go even at this age. As an old man myself I tell ya it really takes work to keep looking like that. Kids don’t know this guy was as big as any sports athlete in the late 90’s.
one of the things I like about Steve is how open he seems about sharing knowledge of pro-wrestling, like if you're a wrestler and he's the locker room, you can ask him anything and he'll just explain it no problem. dunno, looks like a legit guy
yeah.. we did plenty of things they said don't try at home. I gave a kid a swanton bomb off of a small deck once. He got way more hurt than he cared to admit, and we all decided not to wrestle ever again lol
It's really quality stuff, each bit designed/drafted for perfection ru-vid.comUgkx5WQ3WP9ku9goJTCwWiteQ2BfbhKsH_vl Chairs that are comfortable as heck, but would also probably last generations and all sorts of abuse, not that I'm going to put it through that. Everything about this chair is pleasant, the only thing I'd make a note of is that the low back may be an issue for some. For me, it's comfy and sits just right.
This is probably my favorite era of wrestling, where most of the major superstars of my youth are retired/semi retired and we can start peeling back the curtain of mystery concerning what was real and the true stories behind what we saw in the ring.
Come on people, you do realise the stunner, or diamond cutter or whatever it is known as in it's many lifetimes, is NOT REAL. Watch the move on video and you will see that it only works because the recipient jumps as well. If they didn't jump into position, it simply wouldn't work. So, if you want a stunner, you would have to train to do it. And if you watch lots of videos of it, you will see that many times the opponent bounces back without actually hitting Stone Cold's shoulder.
Darrin Baker this is true. I didn’t believe he was in his 30s when I was a kid. Looked like the bald teacher who was about to retire at my middle school lol.
it seems from what ive seen in some of steves vlogs and his podcasts that the dude keeps in good shape to this day it seems he practices healthy living .probably cutting back on the beers since his retirement from the business
I loved stone cold when he wrestled and him outside the ring makes me approximate even more. He is very talented, and funny too. His podcast is awesome
3:39: And yes he did, he did this to The Rock at Wrestlemania 17 and turned Heel, I miss his heel theme and alliance theme, and he also won the WWF Championship without a Finisher Stunner.
@@darrencahill3800 million dollar title for ted debiase was technically the first custom belt made, I wish the Rocks Brahma bull title made it to tv. It's such a nice belt
Dan you were privy to something few people outside the wrestling business have been privy to and thats a wrestler giving you not only his body but his full trust, that being said I think you did well
@@Boringgamer-pf8gr look at trump he an actor, He doesnt give two cent about this country, if he did he wouldnt try and draft dodge his way out of the military and pretend his ankle were broken, that fat ass man doesnt deserves two term he need to be gone or prison, Steve on the other hand did CEO for Vince that pretty much more experienced for running the office
Me and my friend were notorious for hitting people in class with our folders in school like they were chairs and stunnerin people good times. Iss everytime
Another “new” bit you can spot. If the wrestler is flat on his front taking the shots, they use the angle so the top of the chair hits the mat. So it looks & sounds like the guy is getting a hammering, when in reality, the most impact is on the arm and part of his side. It still hurts like hell, but it means they can make it seem more brutal without actually breaking the opponents bones - because they do those ones fast so it looks increasingly crazy.
@The Freaky Robber your profile picture is awesome that facial expression MJ did always reminded me to when bruce lee had his badass moments in movies he also did that kinda facial expression, i also get that feeling when i see MJ or bruce lee like that, and your name fits kinda to it lol
