Hi there I have just got this vice and there is sum play in the vice socket where it like locks into where it says transformer if that makes sense basic if I put a hook in and wiggle it the vice moves from the socket part a millimetre or so , does you vice do this ??

Hello!! The in line rotary head can hold pike hooks? It's the same jaw that the streamer head?

what is the largest hook it can hold? I tie saltwater fly.

Altex lan I've been tying 4/0 saltwater flies on the straight streamer jaws no problem. Still has room to go bigger.

most vise can go till 4/0. my renzitti master can till 10/0.

Altex lan don't know if it will go that big. Don't have anything larger than the 4 to test it out

Altex lan it is a saltwater specific jaw set. So it might go to a 10. Like I said. Still shows room to fit larger hooks. They do make a vise that's more like the Regal Vice style and it's suposed to handle very large hooks. The transformer is made for trout and salmon flies mostly.
