One of the key attributes of a well-fitting button-front shirt is that it looks good whether or not it's buttoned all the way up. If your shirt is too big around the neck, or perhaps too small, it's probably a good idea to always leave a few buttons open when you wear _that_ shirt (same goes for the cuffs/rolling up the sleeves). I am 100% in favor of styling the pieces you already own to look as good as possible, but the easiest way to fix looking like a dork in dress shirts is to get shirts that _actually fit you._
I also cover a lot of my tattoos, it depends on your area but I think in the area that still view tattoo as badassery, it’s still a too agressive aesthetic.

When you have a good physique you look good regardless but I agree rolling the sleeves up a bit and unbuttoning the first couple buttons at the top looks better

If youre buff and in shape i think having your shirt down looks better tbh say if it's a plaid shirt, like what n3on has. If it's a pure dress shirt like what Austin has, it would look good tucked in most of the time, but you can still pull it off having it hang down too
