Are you always dropping things?! In this video, I share 5 Exercises to Help Clumsy Hands and Fingers. 💪There can be a lot of reasons why you may be dropping or spilling things- weakness, loss of sensation, or decreased stability. My clumsiness is mainly a problem with proprioception - even more than dropping things, I knock my hands, or objects I'm holding, against things. I think the main reason is that my thumbs are both misplaced relative to my hand. I shall start doing the ball toss, and I'm working on the thumb exercises in particular, but a whole video focusing just on the proprioception issue could be really helpful. Are there other exercises that might help? I might add, I have been searching on this topic over the past year or so, and your video is the first time I have seen somebody address the issue, so thank you very much!

concentrate your mind on the grip and the place where you put the things, haphazard minds have this problem.

And it’s OK to drop things once in a while but I drop my iPhone 15 Pro Max at least once a week that’s not good eventually it’s gonna crack the screen and that’s gonna cost money

Hi Michelle, I'm already doing your Trigger finger exercises so I looked deeper and found this brand new one. I had a severe pain in my shoulder as I did the one where you bring your hand to your shoulder and extend, and bring down slowly. Lol I got stuck midway. Now I already know, I've got a Frozen shoulder. My question is "Do you have videos on shoulder pain"?. I love your specific details. You make it fun too😁 I pray you have videos on Shoulders though. @@VirtualHandCare I had an impingement 2 years ago and now in hand therapy. I have trouble with a few of my excercises, so any shoulder video would be great. I never knew what made that shoulder hurt then become limited in range. Mostly better now unless I put left arm over shoulder height.

I feel I have all 5? : ) Due to a kitchen accident, a recent stitch between my left thumb and index finger certainly has been life changing. These are all extremely informative and helpful. You make recovery a solid possibility. Thank you Michelle.

@@VirtualHandCare Thank you, I'll peruse the videos. I can't extend any of my fingers, at all. I have been doing manual movement, TENS stimulation, acupuncture, and mirror box.

@@wandamusictube No. I had a basal ganglia stroke that affected my left side . I'm not sure what a surgeon can do about a lack of nerve transmission and neuroplasticity.

Will wearing a glove together with intermittent massage help with augmenting somato-sensation?

A glove can sometimes hinder sensation because you are blocking signals to the brain. However there is way more to Somatosensation that should be addressed- vibration, pain, touch, temp, etc. I would see a therapist for this!

In addition to the hand strength issue, i seem to have gotten very slippery fingertips with age. Its like there is just no texture to hold onto items like i used to. 🤷‍♀️ getting old so weird.😂 thank you for the exercises!

Could it be dryness? When my son learned to snap his fingers, I wanted to snap, too! But I couldn't make a loud noise like he did...until my hands were wet/well-moisturized.

Actually, just tested this out and I think this might still hold, but the thumb strength might be the issue, too.
