Think I heard you say you put a quart of oil in your transmission. 4 spd should have only 24 ounces of oil maximum. Reason being too much oil will cover edge of main seal when bike is on sidestand. Also too much oil will bubble out that little hole in vent screw on cover. 24 ozs. Only.

Usually I see people instal the seal on the spacer and then instal onto the trans together I’m guessing with this spacer you need to install onto the trans first then the seal ?

Do you know if the Jims 2256-1 tool is still available anywhere? Their catalog has a similar looking one P/N 2256 but it is for 5 speeds.

Looks good except for the silicon on the outside of the seal. The instructions on a semi trailer wheel seal installation says "DO NOT use silicone on the outside of the wheel seal. Wheel seals and your tranny seal is basically the same.

@@IdleHands I didn’t understand before about the groove, but now it makes sense that space between the main shaft and the spacer. I guess that’s AMF LOL!!!

Lots of leak free miles. Been riding the bike a lot lately and hasn’t leaked a drop.

Agreed my buddy just gave my this one that’s why I used it. But it is nice to have it set to the perfect depth. Just got this project running and no leaks thus far.
