As a Russian speaking person I can clearly understand the origin of many of her mistakes, because they are so familiar to my fellow countrymen. No articles, strange contractions, odd pronunciation of some words. Just like space instead of spice, because in Russian we have almost the same word "spetsiya" and "e" in it sounds more like 'e' in get, vet. And we have a common spelling mistake of confusing "e", "æ", "ə" and even "ei" sometimes in our mother tongue. So she just sounds abit too Russian to speak like a native. She is just not.

She makes crude mistakes regardless. She talks like an immigrant and has no business teaching others. What she sells, is an immigrant's version of "The American dream" - "I made it, so can you, just buy my courses". Unfortunately, people buy it hook, like and sinker.

@@zahleer This isn't a matter of casual/formal English or the way natives speak. The thing is that she calls herself a teacher, creates videos for a huge audience, and yet makes so many mistakes that a whole series of videos can be created on their basis.

I think Liza might be Russian, so the only difference would then be the fact that Marina is incompetent, whereas Liza isn't.

@@safinehakamaki3537 Liza isn't Russian she is Ukrainian. You should learn from billingual since kindergarden, they most likely "think" on both languages.Marina thinks in Russian and just translates her thoughts in English, that's why she makes no sense and sounds weird as hell. Ukrainians are billingual such as Georgians,Uzbeks and etc since early childhood means they used to THINK in different languages. Learn languages from those who are billingual since they were tiny kids.

Kevin and Lisa, your work is definitely worthy of respect, as many people can be mistaken by watching linguamarina's videos. but of course that girl is also an experienced teacher, I have no doubts about this, but the fact that you are correcting such mistakes is definitely worthy of respect!!!

The problem with Marina that she is not experienced teacher, otherwise she wouldn't do so many mistakes. It's inappropriate to make such mistakes especially she puts under her videos titles like "how to pronounce real American accent" or "How to speak American language" etc. She even doesn't have special education to teach. She just makes money
