I just watched the Wreck Gar episode of TF Animated and Ratchet says “you wouldn’t dare to do something that stupid!” Then Wreck-Gar says “I *dare* to be stupid!”
That pose of him picking something up from the ground is excellent at showing how versatile he is. Any idea if he would be too big for GI Joes to ride?
I ordered this guy on ebay, along with two junkheaps, for around $25. after messing around with them for a while, i just went; "woooooooooooww", because they are all just incredible! -ps, i love making them ride each other's vehicle modes :D
OH, you don't have to move the handle bars, they auto-morph in with the leg. Because i didn't know this, i broke one of my junkheaps, thank goodness it wasn't wreck gar! =P
inflation and budget constraints really took a toll on the transformers toys, huh? we can't even hope for a deluxe this detailed and complicated nowadays without costing much more than what they usually go for.
How does this sound? A gestalt team called the "Motorbots". They could transform into old-fashioned motorcars and all have British accents. Their combined form could be called "Churchill".
1:35 - Bleh... Here I am rotating the figures I have in storage, and it's THAT VERY SPOT that craps out on me. Help me, Kragle... you're my only hope...
I'd still love to see you tackle the voyager class G1 version of Wreck-Gar from the Studio Series 86 line. That said, I do appreciate some of the creative decisions made with this version.
I like this toy, save for ONE big thing: The transparent antenna. Sure, they look kinda neat, but they're kinda easy to break, much like the handlebars. Though that's more a personal issue, as between my own clumsyness I've given him a couple of antenna breaking tumbles. Thank god for superglue.
My idea about why transformers look the way they do (including hair) and act the way they do, is that they have limited programming, but that one of their basic programs is to copy or mimic. Basically in absense of a programmer, they must imprint on something... anything. I mean, why else would movie drift be a Samurai? He has imprinted somehow on that "signal". They, themselves do not understand that their programming is limited, they "think" that they are sentient. But of course this is just to explain away the fact that these things came from Japanese toys and a US cartoon and their is no real reason. Wieners come in packs of 10. Buns come in packs of 8. Unicron is a giant planet that consumes everything in its path because it imprinted on Orson Wells.
Hey L.E, a LONG time ago, once upon a spell you reviewed Generations Jetfire. In that video you compared the box that Jetfire came in, to the box that MP Grimlock came in and you said "...Masterpiece Grimlock box, look out for that review sometime soon..." but that was about 2 and a half years ago. Do you have any plans on reviewing everyone favorite Dinobot King? I understand if you might not be able to because you know, children. But I wanted to know if had any plans to do it, or if you forgot about it.
I actually almost managed too get this guy at a convention, but as the dealer was picking it up in order to give me my purchase, the handlebar just snapped. I walked out of there with a Reveal The Shield Bumblebee instead.
