G1 Warpath is my favorite G1 bot. I love him so much. Hes fun. Hes a tank. Hes red. Hes small. Hes perfect

Eyebrow: prime is definitely a freightliner. My dad: must be a kenworth.

Just a side mention, I've ulways personally thought G1 Optimus was much closer to looking like a Kenworth K-100 with subtle changes like a slightly square-er cab.

Ah, Trailbreaker. Him and Thundercracker were my first transformers, so special place in my nostalgia heart. Was able to get ahold of the Takara re-issue. One of the ones that sit in the box just because I really like the packaging...and I'm that guy.

I have the 2011 Takara Chronicle Edition of G1 Prime. The version with tampographed Autobot symbols, just the fat gun, and a carved-out 5mm leg hitch to share with Deluxe DOTM Prime's trailer. $100 for 3 main centerpieces is a bit better than $50 for one.

Re: drag beetles - Part of Michael Bay's disdain for the beetle was that he couldn't picture the car driving 200 mph. Ugh...

Great review, as always!! Your stop-motion skills are unrivaled, and the humor is top notch! Really love the vehicle commentary. I've always loved the Diaclone/G1 aesthetic of making a perfect alt mode first, then engineering a transformer out of it. It's literally the reason for most of the iconic parts of most older character looks.

The Legends/Core Bumblebee in the Buzzworthy Bumblebee two pack replicates the Chibi proportions of the original Penny Racer (in a non licensed fashion, mind you), but also includes *molded* detail in the rear of the alt mode replicating the original stickers of this line! A prime candidate for paint, and the alt mode is honestly great fodder for getting an upscaled KO, because it's honestly a contender to replace Netflix Bee otherwise.

At last some G1 stop motion, fantastic!

That sticker on the back of G1 Bee? His old bio does casually bring up that he has some form of underwater capabilities, so it could be a turbine!

G1 bee was a spy so could transform into a mini sub alike James Bonds Lotus hence the back turbine.

I got a reissue of G1 Prime for Christmas and absolutely filled with joy when I saw him, mainly because I've always wanted one for years, I mostly keep in the box, I did take him out just to see how he is and plus put the stickers on him, he's cool, the only other G1 figure I've had was a Dead End and to be honest for years I never realised he was a G1 figure.

I never had any of the G1 Transformers when I was a kid, but I actually recently came across one by complete accident. I was going on my usual Tuesday walk with my (hopefully) future stepdad's dad and dog a few months ago, when we cam across a box of free toys sitting on the sidewalk in front of a house. Being the curious man I am, I dug through the box to see what I could take home. By complete happenstance, I found a G1 Grimlock in pretty damn good shape. The only problems were I couldn't find any of his accessories, he's only has the stickers on the side of the dino mode torso as well as the rub sign, and he's got a bit of a hole in his robot mode left foot which is fairly unsightly. That and most of a row of teeth broke off after I took it home and is now chilling inside his mouth until I can get it glued back on. I was completely taken aback that there was a straight-up G1 toy in this box, so I was like "Y'know what? I think I'mma take this." I also grabbed the Classics Megatron that was in there (y'know, the old Nerf gun looking thing) because the only Classics figures I had are Nemesis Prime, Mirage, Bumblebee, and Grimlock, so I figured I'd just add it to the pile for the hell of it. There were some other figures in there that I couldn't identify and some non-Transformers things that I didn't care about, so I just resumed our walk with my finds in tow and I took them home, wiped them down with a baby wipe, and now they proudly sit on top of the printer next to my computer desk.

I find it funny how "Idiots" complain about Parts forming and thinks it degrads a figure but then praise G1 prime. Who himself is a Parts former is it just that he's so Iconic that all flaws found on other figures is dismissed and is only apparent on the 21st century toys because Hasbro was suppose to have technology so good that we get rid of Parts forming.

Yes the penny racers/choro q cars have bad proportions, but if you're not OCD over bad proportions, then they can become VERY addicting.

Thew put it best when referencing this Optimus Reissue. It isn't FOR us, collectors. It's for Joe Blow who's in the shop, sees the figure and says "Hey I had this as a kid", and can more reasonably spend $50 instead of $100.

What's wrong with toy brawn's heads? His gobot claw arms, height, and bullet shaped head make him stand out much more amongst the other minibots

2:24 fun fact! Not only drag race beetles but I discovered that there was once a conversion kit for the 1973 Beetle 1303 that turns it into a Porsche 935. Yes, you heard that right, and it's the version of the 935 that Jazz was based on! Don't quote me on this, but I seem to recall some versions of the original Optimus Prime were 5mm compatible, too, which is kind of awesome in its own way.

While I disagree a lot with your opinions on robot modes, mostly because you come across as quite "geewunny", I swear you do the absolute BEST vehicle mode reviews on youtube, no contest. Like, for every single other reviewer on youtube it seems like vehicle modes are an afterthought. While you, instead, dedicate time to explain where they come from and specific details they get right or wrong. It's delightful.

Just to fill you in on what happened with reissue Optimus. The original mold from 1983 was broken so what we basically got was a newly tooled, g1 optimus. If he had the trailer, he would have been Commander Price.

I definitely hear you on the MP Bee 2.0! Takara has really helped me save money by doing so many slavishly cartoon-accurate "Masterpiece" figures. They really just don't appeal to me with their undetailed surfaces and warped proportions and such.
