I wear socks and have never had blisters yet (hopefully not jinxed myself). I only wear 1.5-2mm socks in the warm or in the winter. I thankfully have hot feet. Nice walk that you are on.
Yeah I struggle with cold feet in the winter but more rub than anything and it works for me. Some awesome walks down this way for sure a beautiful place to live
Always wear socks - the fin rub is too bad without them. I tried the little Gyroll ones that fit on your fins, but they didn’t offer enough protection on the top of the foot. I use the Alder ones too. Hopefully you enjoyed the fun summer waves today!
When I started I got the beginner set with the alder socks etc etc. Recently I've tried without socks when the water temp is acceptable. I found paddling easier and lifting the outer foot more natural (I put it down to the waterlogged socks feeling much heavier and draggy on my match stick legs 😂) I've modified my current set of LTD fins to remove any areas of rubbing I did suffer
Going on your recommendation I went ms viper and 4mm socks in winter , but surprised how quick the soles wear out. How may pair a year you use In summer I wear Dafin sockless
I wear the alder burn plus I have half socks I some time's wear as well. Dunno how people like Damian prisk wear barefoot all year round. It's so Ur feet don't float so much. I prefer to be warm.
