Been using this for awhile and the only thing is you have to really clean up your excess glue when making boxes or it shows up after you dip them. Great job and great product ❤🐝
ive got 2 friends that have been using it for around 15 years they love the stuff. ive been using it 4 years and if plywood holds up in the rain wet locations pine boards would last even longer. i like you hate painting.
You can order online from home depo . Go to a local home depo store buy a medal paint can take home mix a gal in can leave a little room in can, take it to your local home depo store and they will mix in a water base color tent for free. Thank for your vids.
well as you see in the video squirrels love to chew on my swarm traps. carpenter bees drill on my hand rails on the front porch and they are painted. thinks will happen. thanks for watching.
@@WoolieBsApiary okay... I might have to check that out. Good tip, I think. I've had guys meet me in the field. I mark my spot on waze by reporting the police in the middle of the field. Its okay to laugh. I do every time!
Any paint or coating is not suitable for exterior wood work as eventually the wood cracks and joints allow the ingress of water thus trapping water and accelerating rot from the inside. So called modern 'wood stains' are actually coatings and are next to useless. If you use an oil that soaks into the wood and any joints it will protect far better.
The swarm traps I have uses this on are still just like they were 6 or so years ago except for the squirrels chewing the corners. I seal my cut edges with tite bond 3
@@WoolieBsApiary I came by your video by searching "sealing bee hives with PVA" I just bought a serious PVA sealer on the advice of an old bee keeper I met here in Australia who used it to seal boxes by dipping, then painiting with outdoor waterbased paint. This product is a bathroom sealer called Bondcrete. I guess I'll know in a few days if this guy was right. He swore by it and raved on for ages about it, reckons after 20 years still hasnt failed at the joints.
how long did you let yours soak i let mine soak 10 minutes per side but i have a bigger tote than the one in the video the swarm traps are holding up great except the Squirrels really love them.
@@WoolieBsApiary I dipped them just like he did, then let them dry in the sun. The top and bottom finger joints warped and pulled away from the box. Spending 10 minutes soaking each side of the boxes would take alot longer than painting them.
@@jakejacobsen6457 winter projects in the workshop they dry on top of the wood stove. i use titebond 3 and 1/4 crown 1 1/2 coated staples you cant pull them out. im doing other things and lose track of time building other stuff sometimes it might be 30 minutes.
