I have always had that "needing to be acceptable to others" - as you say it is sad and for me a hopelessness feeling. Be worthy to yourself first, then practice, then we can be worthy to others. I just wrote down (pen and paper) Michael's magic algorithm points. Pretty sure I need to repeat them for a while. I wonder if I wrote them every morning would that send /emphasis the message to my subconscious.

I also think it's very respectful not to "lead people on" by acting like you like them when you don't really. It is maybe a bit painful in the no-phase but down the road it is for the better for both of you. This applies to both romantic and platonic relationships. I find it very sad to imagine my friends hanging out with me just to be kind. I want them to want it either way.

When I used to be like “how can this person get my approval”, I used to be “an annoying person” or “a person who doesn’t like anyone else”, as someone said a lot to me. 😂

My personal tip is to just make a mindset that "if they are my friends they should give me a advantage" i mean like a good way not a manipulation type of stuff make sure that the friend comforts u in your bad times helps you out and is a true friend .

Totally relate. I have issues when people have an opinion of me. And it doesnt fit me. But they make it truth to them I know i should not care. But it bothers me! 😊 Ive been working on this and even watch aaron doughty. He is great. But i have some family members that i for some reason cant get it to go away. I have to be around them once in awhile and when i am they are so negative towards me. And make me feel they dont believe me. Which i dont lie! I cant seem to get past it. I giess looking at it as its their movie. Not mine. Is what i have to try. What they think of me is none of my business 😊

Thank you for this, I’ve been trying to break out of seeking external validation and trying to find tips but nothing I found gave me a straight up method to combat this. A lot of it was “things you need to stop doing” or “love and trust yourself” which is true but HOW to do that? What does it look like?? So thanks for this 😊

I think that depends on your standards. If you are a nice person you would naturally like nice people. And I actually kinda like his idea because it means you don't judge yourself, you judge others which is healthy for you because u are filtering the wrong people. And it will also make u drive conversations with other people to get to know them. You don't have to be picky and be a narcissist about it. You just filter out the very few toxic peoole

Some people are naturally empathetic and others don’t deserve such energies sometimes . The energy of the earth on all continents has been inverted . What people need is to first raise there own unique energies and on top of that stop letting others auras over power your own . You are not just a spec of dust or a monkeys descendent or . Grandson of a slave owner or a slave. You are not your past mistakes . What you are is flesh and blood with impulses and the gift of discernment use your gifts wisely .ase

Yeah me too I am a nice person I like others to be happy. I like the strategy of taking responsibility and changing your mind set "this is my movie" "knowing and living my own standards" - this does help to set healthy relational boundaries and expectations 😊

Nice approach. The way I figure this out is by realizing, my need for approval has nothing to do with other people. I’m the one wondering and seeking approval, that is my issue. If you add strong self responsibility on top of that and you are self aware that that is your problem it will change your life forever. If you have the word people in your equation you’ll end up seeking approval, one way or another, even through self confidence or by putting yourself in the position you explained.

Thanks for this bro. Seeking approval is something I can be bad for. I did it quite often with my ex-girlfriend in particular unfortunately. "Be the star of your own movie" is an awesome way to look at things.
