This is what i believe. Either I'm 100% idiot or this is a little deep. Why do people play GTA? We can do anything from committing robberies/heists to killing random innocent pedestrians and have to face zero consequences for that. All of us GTA players are somewhat sick people to enjoy these types of things. GTA capitalizes on this thing and the more realistic it gets, the better it will be.

I never had any issues with mafia 2 fuel, gas station system, or the cops being so damn realistic. I enjoyed having to slow down in front of them to avoid the unnecessary chase. It just felt so damn nice and realistic... also, the hacking car system was great. Those features would have been great to have on the next GTA 6

Guys, we dont know how the games acts and how it plays until the game comes out or Rockstar announces something, so leave the judging until the game comes out

They bought FiveM for a reason and these features will likely be integrated in a roleplaying server. I would hope it's not part of the main story though.

The gas station thing could actually work. The mafia serious does it well. You could go through most of the game without filling up your car.

the fuel system seems like something that would definitely turn up for gta 6 but won't be something that has to be done repeatedly very quickly

I think that they should implement these things such as gas station and police tickets as options in the settings so you can choose if you want them to be on or not.

The beamng one is so stupid, im a person who likes to keep my car undamaged and clean and one small hit from either the npcs or any other player i go crazy and i either return and request the car again so it could be brand new or i have to drive to los santos customs nonstop

I wouldn't mind a red dead redemption 2 approach though feeling immersed with your character was a huge improvement imo having pets that can attack or just maintaining your character needs is okay with me

They could just add a toggle for realism settings. Many gamers have always wanted an open world life-sim & GTA itself is probably the closest to such, hence the RP mods.

Whenever I'm driving in GTA online I push every vehicle to the limit and try not to hit anything, especially during missions. That's how I have fun with it.

People want realism and different features. Not the same old do 50 missions and beat the game . Single player Players want to get gas and eat …etc everybody doesn’t just want to play missions all day. It’s fun to just explore the map and enjoy various different events and activities. RDR2 was fun with the eating and different features

with the fuel system it should be in story only with an option to turn it on or off

The weapon system must be similar to RDR2. Enough with players magically carrying 10 tonnes of weaponry and pulling them out of thin air immediately. This will also greatly Balance the online section of the game. Less griefers and disasters.

ive been trying to tell all my buddies this lol, Because they all think that having to get gas and eating food and everything being super real, but it would get so annoying having to get gas and eat food to live and have real car physics and stuff it just wouldnt feel like gta anymore.

I think it needs to be established that GTA 4's driving was still the best the series has ever had and made the game fee a lot better. Rockstar used to make midnight club, a racing game, it's only fair that they make the driving at the very least more realistic than 5.

as for traffic violations, I think it should be more like if you are being chased by the cops you have the option to pull over and the cop will come give you a violation. But it you shot someone or ran someone over, they will immediately become more aggressive

the crash mechanic SHOULD be like beamng just not that sensitive

I mean, what if gta 6 has two mode. The realistic mode and non reaslitic mode. It would be cool, because to a player like me, i would like to play the realistic mode one, but i also would switch up to non realistic mode just to play around.

One word: FUN. Immersion is FUN. RDR2 is the most realistic and detailed game ever made, and it's loved to this day. GTA: SA had an entire food mechanic, and everyone loved it. GTA IV had a bowling mechanic, and brought back the dating mechanic, and everyone regards GTA IV as peak. GTA V beta (from a video I saw in late 2012/early 2013) had a shower mechanic, complete with hot and cold water. AND it was going to have a mechanic where your car wheels could fall off, and you had to manually put it back on. GTA V has yoga, and even a freakin' therapist you can visit. It's so realistic, you can even see the sweat on your character's back. You can even call a taxi, or hang out with other characters. And because of all this realism, everyone loves it. GTA is so popular BECAUSE of all these little things you can do. I don't wanna just play in an open world, I wanna LIVE in that open world. I want something to INVEST my time in. More things to do = more fun to have.

agreed, gta 6 should be somewhat realistic but also have a sense of arcade-y style to it. or even kind of the feel of an action movie, your character has the skills, its realistic enough but also wild enough for it to be exciting. if you know what i mean?

I don't think the RDR hunger/sleep system would work in a game like GTA; GTA is much more of a fun, chaotic game, so making it too RPG-like would be a bad choice imo.

Some people like that type of stuff and some people don't. We'll see what they do.

In San Andreas, not eating does affect the character overtime. You will slowly lost health the longer you go without eating. Red dead doesn’t do much with the weight besides barley changing up some cutscenes

The whole car crashing up is a good idea but I don't think it would work as well..and how would the character escape all those different crashes of smashed cars. I have a idea for it ...💡 If you crash that hard you'll just have to get automatically WASTED.

In my opinion this is how Gta6 must be: Realistic Character animations Realistic Guns animations Interactions with npcs being more realistic and with much more variety Police being smarter and more skilled Realistic Car animations also including shooting from the vehicle The inventory can be the same as rdr2 Store other weapons in the trunk of your car just like horses in rdr2 Specially the fighting and combat should be more realistic and with much more animations and variety of combos even than rdr2 The way you kill npcs shall be real and brutal Every physics must be realistic and attention to detail Fuel system I think it will be good if you have to refuel your car after many hours of driving. The weather shall be way more realistic and you will have to get dressed depending on the weather so the body temperature can adapt to the weather. I mean it can't be 38 degrees and you see npcs getting dressed like its winter. Your character and npcs shall be dressed depending on the temperatures of the day. The way you build your character's body like going to the gym or eating but it should be free of use, I mean you don't have to eat because you are going to die of starvation. You'll have to eat or consume other things to heal or to fill up your stamina or your special ability. Being able to enjoy a luxurious life like smoking cigars, enjoy time in your yacht or go to a bar and have a variety of drinks and activities, being able to party and tease other girls and with the right decisions you can get to know her or smth like that. Cars shall have a lot of variety of modifications at the customs but even if you are driving you may want to lower your window, you dont have to break it etc If you crash your car it shall look realistic but it doesn't mean that you cannot still drive it. The laws shall be more tolerant, if you pass through a red light you don't have to get a wanted level. Or if you are driving crazy fast you dont have to get a ticket or a wanted level because it will make the game a pain in the ass. You don't have to pay taxes and stuff like that which can make the game boring. If you get a wanted level your crimes shall not be forgotten and it would be great to roam around the city lying low or go to an office where we can pay for our crimes if we dont want to lie low and play freely again. The game must be real regarding physics animations interactions and having a variety of stuff to do and to have like your own playstyle, while playing freely and doing exactly like we want with freedom but also some minor limitations. It's a GTA after all and not a life simulator.

They aren't the same company, many of the OGs left after RDR2, they laid off so many people after V and RDR2, they'll do it again with this. The story might be worse, humour might be watered down and hollow, but the gameplay and other things I'm sure will be very nice, I would prefer a sense of realism like RDR2 rather than a shell of a world like GTA V. We'll have to see.

I agree with alot of this, the sleeping and always paying for food is the reason alot of us dont play RP on FiveM.

Its funny everyone hated gta 4 when it came out for its realism and everyone complained about the long looting in rdr2 but now they want gta 6 to be realistic, if gta 6 doesnt let me carry 50 weapons i deadass dont want it

One thing I'll say about BeamNG physics for GTA 6 is that it could be simplified. BeamNG has simplified beam structures for the npc versions of some of its vehicles. Also no personal computer will be able to load all of the GTA 6 map all at once, everything is simulated locally around the player, and everything that is seen far away is simplified geometry with no active simulation of NPCs or physics. Think of it like Minecraft, with the distant horizons mod. A setting to turn that feature off would also have to switch to arcade crash physics, and when it's on realistic physics every vehicle would need an invisible soft body node/beam structure like BeamNG. Though GTA already works similarly to Wreckfest since GTA 4, and Wreckfest has crash realism like Beamng, but it's simulated every few frames rather than real time, so vehicle damage can be calculated a few times during the duration of a crash, so if it were slowed down the damage would pop in a few times. BeamNG is less about crash physics and more about the cars being simulated as close as possible to real cars and is a vehicle simulation sandbox, where Wreckfest was design solely for racing and crashing.

GTA 6 should have: - The character stats and variety of side missions/activities from San Andreas - Vehicle handling and ability to hang on ledges/pick up and throw objects from GTA 4

imo, yes, the expectations of people who want to turn the GTA VI into real life sim is nuts. . . they are insane, not gonna lie. but, well it's probably about RolePlaying aspects of GTA VI, and the possible potential of this game. . to have one of the best RP community, and devices to do that. i dunno why they want it inside the SP or Online module tho. . . i just wish, that FiveM stuff working with Rockstar Games, will continue, not only support already existing servers based on GTA V, but they will get green light from Rockstar, to make RolePlay servers and expeirence using GTA VI map etc. . .

GTA used to be a parody, now real life is a parody itself and that's why i am not looking forward to GTA 6.. because it won't be escapism.

I think all thinks are so cool and I probalby want a lot of these but in appropriately way, not too annoying but still be there, example of eating, drinking and go to restroom, it would be nice and fun but it should be the game was not too affected

There is NO WAY that GTA VI is going to be as slow as RDR2. I forgot which interview it was but they explained the whole reason for making RDR2 slow by adding sleep + eat requirements was to make the player immersed in the 1800's era. Since GTA VI will be set in modern Miami, Fl we will surely have fast game play. I can't wait to see what they come up with.

They should do what Ghost Recon Breakpoint did with the whole menu that lets u turn on/off realism features. It allows players to kinda custom tailor how much realism they want in their play thru. Extremely good feature that I can see coming to more games further down the line

It should go realistic that's the vision they had for the series since day one and now decades later with better technology and experience with the new rage engine from RDR 2 its now possible to fully realized that vision.

I disagree on this.. Look how boring GTA 5 is. All this realistic stimulator is what makes the game fun look at RDR2 you need to eat, take a bath and all that is fun.. If you don't eat you lose stamina, if you get dirty npc react to you and you lose stamina too I think I don't remember

I mean because GTA5 RP is a life simulation, even though RP can be anything but in order for GTA6 to be better than GTA5 RP or the regular GTA5 online....IT HAS TO BE BETTER THAN GTA5 RP which is pretty much a life simulation if you watch enough or play yourself. GTA6 has to be a life simulation because if not it won't do or be better than GTA5. If no one believes me than tell me what else are they goin to do. You want them to do the same thing as GTA5.

I like some of the things like realistic traffic situations but I mean it shouldn't be mandatory. They could maybe make it a setting on how strict the driving is, realistic (sim) or arcade, I think Mafia 2 had that option in their game with the handling. And I mean it's not really that difficult to out run the police. Just make it so for one star they don't really come down on you so hard or as hard as they would if you have 3+ stars. Like 1 star = they try but not too hard 2 Stars = They really want to find you and look around a bit harder and really try for back up 3 stars = All cars in the area are on the lookout for you and even some from out of the area as well. Maybe they start trying to contain your player to an area. 4 stars = Usually the SWAT is called in by this point. Shutdown the areas, roadblocks, spikes strips etc. 5 = Army/National Guard Or just have like a classic mode where it is just like it was in the other GTA games. I liked it in Mafia 2 you had to watch who you were speeding around or where you were committing a crime or whatever. Made the game feel a bit more alive.

Adding immersion features as things you can just do if you so choose is perfectly fine. Like how red dead 2 has the option to shower. You dont NEED to but its there for immersions sake. Doesnt affect gameplay at all.
