Getting a new lens is definitely one of the biggest steps I ever took in terms of quality. My Sigma 30mm just saves my shots and photos in so many ways.
Also, people spend thousands on camera bodies and lenses to cheap out on ND filter. Quality ND Filter is a must. I'm leaning towards fixed IR/FS NDs for now instead of regular VNDs
The pyro 7 has a kit on Amazon that comes with the monitor and both receiver and transmitter for 899. If you buy them separately it comes out to 1200. Just an FYI
Yeah, you can get an RX/TX and have the camera connected to the atomos and then hdmi out to the TX. You connect the RX on the HDMI into the Pyro 7 (as a transmitter) and the other Pyro 7 would get the feed as a receiver.
I remember when amazon randomly set the Sony 90mm lens to about 600 bucks back in 2020. it wasn't even on amazon prime deals. I missed that boat thinking Sony must be cooking up a new macro lens soon lol still waiting!! 😂
I suck and I put a deposit on the R5 Mark ii today lol :| I take good photos, but could be better! My strength is everyone says they feel comfortable and have fun. I want to give video more of a go though. An exteral monitor is a cool idea.
I think when you start getting consistently booked for jobs. You can start allocating some budget to improve your experience / craft. You'll be able to tell the more you film with clients!
