Omg I ran to the store as soon as I watched this and it’s almost been a week since I made my purchase ...and I absolutely love it! Yes it does burn after you shave but I would rather deal with a moment of burning and not smelling for the rest of the day. Thank you so much for the info!!!!!!
GUYS, let me tell you... THIS IS THE SHIT!!! literally life changing for me.. I’ve tried all different deodorants and antiperspirants and I smell less than half and hour after. I tried this after showering and the FIRST TIME i had no scent. I thought it was fluke but I tried it the next day before a 10 hour shift and by the end I had a extremely mild scent and no one else could smell me. Get this now! I can’t wait to combine this with a good deodorant
@@dianabaltazar7818 hey, I don’t know i think my body got used to it but that was super fast or it only worked initially as a shock. I don’t have the money to get Botox injected and I’m so tired of being insecure of my scent every time I go out
I have been using “natural” deodorant for awhile now and I’ve noticed it gives me an even worse funk. I’m so excited to try this! I also did a aha/bha peel for 10 minutes on my pits the other day and I feel like it has the same effect, you just can’t do it daily.
Our skin pH is normally around 4.7 and putting anything higher (alkaline / base ) on your skin is going to increase sweat smells. Most 'natural' deodorants will add sodium bicarbonate / baking soda , which has a pH of 8.5. The RU-vidr Lab Muffin Beauty Science explains it better in her video about whether aluminium in antiperspirant are bad or not.
For anyone out there with sensitive under arms just be careful with your transition switch, I was using glycolic acid in the am and antiperspirants in the pm --- chemical burn heaven, it was a slow progressive irritant. And I say this with years of experience using it on my skin elsewhere, so just a heads up!! But definitely worth it - the pm antiperspirants 🙂
Never did I think I’d find a simple, cost efficient solution for what is such a personal, embarrassing matter. I just came across your video yesterday. I use the this toner on my face and love it. I still had about half a bottle and decided to give it a try. I did shave, so I was hesitant and expected to feel a burn or get irritation. I spayed it, fully saturated my underarms, let it dry. It tingled a bit, but nothing major. I used it last night around 8pm and until now, it’s just passed 11am…I swear, no detectable odor! Wow, I can’t believe it! This really works wonders! I hate the feel of deodorant anyway and can’t stand the residue on my underarms nor those whiteish stains it leaves on my clothes. So this is the perfect multipurpose problem solver. 👍🏼♥️Thank you SO very much for sharing your experience.😊🌷God bles🙏🏼
I want to thank you for your post I ran to the store to buy glycolic acid and I’ve been fresh for six hours now without deodorant amazing I have been depressed for years so embarrassed I couldn’t dress the way I want to in one day my life has changed May God Forever Bless You
I use this too!! I used to use lemon juice, but I found that burned too much. I decided to give the glycolic acid a try after it stung my face - works amazing! I put my antiperspirant on top and you're smelling fresh until your next shower :D
Found this tip by another RU-vidr but wanted to drop a comment here that it WORKS! Got this for my husband and NO MORE BO!!!! I would smell if from miles away. Now when he sweats, the I can hardly smell the BO. My spouse is obese for his height and loves to drink. Which leads to sweating a lot more. So yeah… double whammy on the BO. This product is CERTIFIED.
I’m obsessed with self care and love to smell pretty and fresh 24/7… I use unscented dr bronner bar soap, then amazon benzoyl peroxide bar soap and after the shower swipe both underarms with the ordinary toner (use a new cotton ball per arm) and I use donna karen deodorant. My underarms smell amazing, even in hot humid 95 degrees south Florida😁
I saw this hack a few months ago on another channel and I just clicked on this video to co-sign😁 this is the absolute TRUTH!! Ive been doing this for 2 months now and its working well. Had a 2 day transition that was very slightly funky. I have super sensitive skin and usually only put glycolic acid on, then rinse a few mins later (not from bad experience just scared). I DONT have to do that for this AND BONUS i go ahead and spray my legs if i didnt shave- then when i do, its the smoothest ive ever had. Thank you! Btw- i dilute 50/50 with either water or dr thayers
Girl I found this like 1.5 year ago but I was scared to show it as a good way! Lol because I wanted to see how it worked in the long run. Glad it worked for you!
Desde el fondo de mi corazón, quiero decir gracias. Este ha sido un problema recurrente y desde que vi tu video, intenté el ácido glicolico y h sido un maravilla. Muchas , muchas gracias. Te mando un abrazo desde Colombia!
Ok I watched this on Wednesday morning, ordered it on Amazon and it got here last night and OMG this shit worked. Not even joking like if there’s one thing I don’t regret ever buying off of online recommendations, it’s this. I always have bad underarm BO nothing ever works and this freaking works like amazing. I will say I sweated a little but it’s ok! I’ll sweat all day instead of stink!
@@arielgibson9941 this is to be used instead of deodorant. The acid kills the bacteria, you may sweat but you won't smell...at all...its amazing. I wipe it on with a cotton makeup remover pad.
Same here! Good choice too because Lactic Acid is much safer for people with deeper complexions. Glycolic Acid can cause burns due to how tiny the molecules are resulting in post inflammatory hyperpigmentation on deeper tones. Def have to be careful with sun exposure in the summer months.
I can’t say no deodorant but I actually tried this on the humble to help exfoliate under my arms and my bikini area because I sweat a lot and this actually helps you not to have odor along with deodorant for a couple days so I can confirm that it helps that… doesn’t help sweat tho so I still need deodorant and it will help to balance the color
I’m definitely gonna try this I use natural deodorant for a good 3 yrs now and yes they don’t last I take my deodorant with me just In case I need a touch up but one thing that I discovered did help me was I used Niacinamide +Zinc just prior to applying my deodorant like how you apply the glycolic then apply my deodorant and it really did control the sweat production and odor and the skin was improved I used Naturium brand but I’m sure the ordinarys niacinamide + zinc will do the same I definitely want to try your hack as I have this toner which also works great on the feet for super smooth soft skin on your feet
I just saw this and I just realized I have been using the product for my face for a long time now😀 but I personally won’t advise you to use it after shaving.
I’ve been using the Crystal deodorant, which is just the salt stick. For over a year now and NEVER get odor. It’s amazing and only a few dollars. And it lasts sooo long. But I wanna try this!
The Crystal salt stick doesn't keep me from having odor at all, but, it's so far the most effective natural I've ever used that doesn't give me a rash. I use it with a drop or so of essential oil. The roll on, unfortunately, isn't nearly as effective in my experience.
Awesome video informational. Where can I buy these glycolic acid? How much does it cost? Thank you so much for sharing this video. God bless you. I almost forgot, how do you use it in a spray bottle? Do you mix it with water? How much water? Please share any details.
You can buy it at ulta, target and on the ordinary website, it costs $10. You can use a spray bottle if that’s easier for you, some people also use cotton pads with it and I don’t think you mix it with water but I suppose you could dilute it if it is too strong for you. If you choose to mix it with water I would do a 1:1 ratio for the amount you plan to use in one go
Hi, thanks for the video and the recommendations (: Do you put sunscreen in your armpits because of the glycolic acid? Do you use the glycolic acid every day? How much do you spray each time?
This made my armpits red similar to what happens to me when I use natural deodorants with baking soda. For the first 2-3 days I was having that sour smell that develops by the end of the day when you’re using a natural deodorant and the fragrance wears off; it’s not quite BO but just that sour smell you get when you get close to your pits. By the 4th day that sour smell seemed to go away a bit but unfortunately I saw that red ring start to develop around my pits and I knew the irritation was coming. I stopped using it now, unfortunately didn’t get to see its full potential
@T R I’ve used Lume for quite some time, it keeps the BO down, but the sour smell by mid day is intolerable. I’ve gotten this sour smell from natural deodorants and it gets on your clothes too. I stopped using lume because of that and not I’m using lavilin. Works just as good as lume but I’m still getting that sour smell. I’m going to keep using lavilin to see if it just has to really soak into my pits for a while. If that sour smell stays im going back to antiperspirant after not using them for about 5 years. I’m just over it lol
@@MarvFitBikesKicks when I first tried natural deodorant I had to stop because of that sour odor you mention. I used to do a mask every night, every other night, once a week to once a month. Basically reduced the frequency as time went on and it wasn’t as necessary. I used bentonite clay and apple cider vinegar and when I walk past people they only smell the fragrance in the deodorant I’m wearing. Try that and see where it goes because it definitely worked for me
Thanks for another alternative to the antiperspirant with aluminum. I have also found another alternative that is not a deodorant at all its Milk of Magnesia put into a roller ball container. I have used it two years now. It has no scent that conflicts with my perfume.
My armpits were never dark, my only problem was body odor and I saw many people recommend The Ordinary Glycolic Acid and yes it worked for me for the first few weeks, completely got rid of my B.O. But now after two weeks, I started experiencing discoloration. Now my armpits look terrible with dark and light uneven colour Anyone experienced this too? 😭😭 How can I fix it
Deodorant doesn’t work for me at all….the all natural ones, of course the antiperspirant don’t work and I started using mens deodorant ugh no good so I need to try this
Try getting Dove bar soap for sensitive skin and then rubbing it in and letting it sit there for a minute or two before washing, pat dry and go in again with Panoxyl (10% Benzoyl Perioxide) and let that sit there for a minute and rinse off.
be careful with glycolic acid, i used to love it and use it frequently until one day my skin reacted to it and got really red and itchy. i didnt realise it was a reaction to the acid and scratched it and it instantly gave me hyperpigmentation when ive never had underarm hyperpigmentation before 😭
okay so I was a bit skeptical using this because I expected it not to work. before I only used Dove deodorant for my underarms and I've noticed that the product had built up in my armpits causing my armpits to darken and smell extremely bad. I've used The Ordinary glycolic acid (7%) on my underarms at the start of December 2021 so it has been a month since I've started using it once a day after my showers and I must say... YES, it does work! A little over a week of using it, my armpits sweat but do not stink. I can confidently caress my armpits, smell it and I can't smell a thing. It has worked wonders on me so I hope it does for all of you as well!
I have been using it for six months. I added and acne wash. I wash my armpit with that. I am a mail lady so if you know you know. But I have a sometime off and I ate heavy meats I smell terrible but the end of the day. It works but do your research.
Water peroxide 3% helped me a lot and very important to use warm towel to massage your armpit, so the pores are unclogged and open to absorb use products faster and thereby reduce odours
Yes same here I don't know why. I found that it made me smell like deep fryer oil. It's weird because I see nothing but good reviews about it being used as a deodorant. 😕 Even when I put aluminium free deodorant on top, it still had that weird smell. After 3-4 hours I have to reapply it deodorant. I honestly feel like antiperspirants are the only thing that'll genuinely work.
It takes about 4 weeks for your armpits to detox, you can use a detox to speed up the process. Natural deodorant is amazing but I can not stress enough that you have to use antibacterial soap. I have noticed if I use just a nice smelling soap and use natural deodorant my armpits get so smelly but if I use antibacterial soap and then use natural deodorant it’s a lot better!
Honest question. How do we know this is not just as bad or worse for us than the aluminum? I’d love to try but am concerned about the lack of information about that. I’ll continue to use the crystal roll-on until I know glycolic acid is safe.
Im skeptical to this because I personally tried also using apple cider vinegar and witch hazel that claims to get rid of the bacteria but it’s just all FRAUD! But, I’m willing to try this since my skin reacts to alum deos
Has someone applied this wonderful advice on the private parts? (only externally) Does it burn? Any other suggestion that works for strong bad odor... ginecologysts soaps don't work properly on my body. Thanks!
Idk but I watched a dermatologist talk about this hack and they said this is not good for underarm and bad for the skin barrier underarm because it’s too harsh of a ingredient
Yea like the armpit is one of the most delicate skin in body. It should only be used perhaps once or twice a week like any other EXFOLIATOR. Maybe something less harsh like apple vinegar idk. I think some odor it normal but too much you should go to Dr. I used to be like this and just drink water, clean well with a good rag that gently exfoliates, and stuff and have no smell now
I have to try this! I accidentally bought my favorite natural deodorant but in the wrong scent and it did not work! So then I tried lume and it stinks! I still wore it and it worked for a little but now I feel like I smell weird because of lume.
I use the glycolic acid which has worked better than any natural deodorant which didn’t work at all for me ( I switched from aluminum over 2 years ago) my thing is since I sweat my clothes will then have the odor 😫. I’ve actually thought of switching back to aluminum because buying new shirts only for it to a week later smell tank once I sweat is so cumbersome. If there are some tricks and tips help a girl out.
I just saw a video, the lady mentioned using lemon with baking soda to scrap your armpit after you take your shower then, but a mask made of baking soda and lemon and mouthwash cannot remember it's name, all night and the raised it at morning, many ladies under the video said they tried it and it's really worked for them hopefully it's work with you, good luck
No woman should need anything on your bikini for odor besides soap. I personally use ivory, I like it, but it is drying. And if you would like to use it for exfoliating I’d say to go for another option. :)
