Sometimes, the very thing I resist the most is what I need to tackle first. It might be that task that looms over me, casting a shadow on everything else I try to do. Whether it’s a difficult conversation, a daunting project, or a personal challenge I’ve been avoiding, getting it out of the way can clear the mental and emotional space I need to move forward. When I confront the things I don’t want to do, I often find that they aren’t as overwhelming as they seemed. There’s a sense of relief, a burden lifted, and the energy that was consumed by avoidance can be redirected towards more fulfilling endeavors. It’s like tearing off a bandage-there’s initial discomfort, but then comes healing. In my own journey, I’ve learned that facing those hard things head-on, especially when I’d rather not, has led to some of the most significant growth and peace in my life. It reminds me that sometimes, the path to freedom starts with doing the very thing I’ve been running from.

I love when John shares his very human vulnerable thoughts. “God, make them stop!” And, didn’t have a girlfriend in college. He invites us, and makes it easier to share our very human vulnerable stories honestly. Now, will I? 🥺

Talking with a friend about this podcast this morning and he said something about "waiters" in restaurants. Do they sit passively? It so happened that I ate at an upscale restaurant last evening and the waiters constantly replaced our water glasses without asking, and one noticed my friend had used all the salad dressing they'd give him on the side and asked him if he wanted more! What an eye to detail. As you use the word "engage" in life, they were engaged!

Dear Pastor! .i thank GOD for ur book all d places to go & d first book too-+ ( "get off the boat "? -- after reading so blessed, gave it to someone who needs it) u r GODs instrument of HIS glory 🤩 A funny book full of humor but with biblical truthful meditation of THE LORD
