Dire diagnosis at age 57, Dx in 2012 with PSA of 71.5 with 5 bone mets, Stage 4, 4+3, given 3-4 years to live. Currently PSA undetectable at 0.014 no bone pain, no radiation, just Zytiga treatment since 2014!. In remission since 2014 , so 7 years, working on that 20 year mark! Thanks PCRI for these discussions , and HOPE!!!

My dad died from prostate cancer in May of this year. When he was diagnosed he was at stage 4 with widespread bone metastasis. His urologist diagnosed him with BPH and never did a biopsy. He had two urolift surgeries and I believe 100% it spread the cancer all over his body. I am so heartbroken. My dad didn't deserve to die this way. He was the best father a daughter could ask for. He should have died with prostate cancer and not from it. Men beware!!! Do not have the Urolift procedure without demanding a biopsy be done first.

I was diagnosed June 2021. My PSA was 206. I have cancer outside my prostate and into my lymphnodes. Luckily not into my bones. After stomach hormone blockers in one month dropped to 4.1 then next month to 4.4. Was put on Erleada and dropped to 0.04. Thanks for the videos very uplifting

Glad to hear advanced disease is not hopeless. I did radiation treatments 11 years ago, then cryo-surgery twice and now am on Luperon and Xtandii with a Gleason of 9. Keeping our fingers crossed that this combo works.

Nice to hear that there are hope even a advance cancer. If theres a will there a way as what they said as long as your breathing there still hope. There are people who are living and fighting with their cronic cancer in years as my sister.

My first PCA test was 655.50 then I tested it a week later and it was down to 434.4 my doctor said he’s never seen a PSI test come back this high before he thought it was a mistake but retesting it went down a little bit, but not a lot. Have you experienced this or seen any psi’s this high?

My brothers prostate cancer was not detected until it had spread and effected his urinary system. He now has two tubes which come out his back to drain urine and the doctors suspect the cancer might have spread to his bones. He gets kidney infections and I wonder if he can still get hormone therapy? Thank You, God Bless.

Hi. Could you please ask the Doctor his view on which treatment is better for advanced prostate cancer (T4 stage) for a 54 year old man as a first-line treatment. Ezalutamide tablet (to take 4x daily) or Docetaxel chemotherapy (once every 3 weeks). We must decide between these two and are very confused on what to go for. This treatment will be concurrent with the hormone injection (every 3 months) which has already started. Thank you

I wish I never did chemo for mine. It's not curative in stage 4. For me and most people in our shoes it just makes it come back more aggressive. If you're only 54 I would fast. Fast often and ketogenic diet when not water fasting. There are several people who have had total remission after doing this. Look at Dr. Berg channel where he interviewed Guy Tennenbaum and others who did this.

hi Im Jeff, I have been taking ezalutamide and lupron shot. Cancer is in my bones and lungs. my psa went from 33 to .019 and pain is gone. I also had surgery 15 year ago to remove the prostate. This is a reacurance of the cancer. Iam very happy with these meds

I take that I am going to have to continue androgen deprivation therapy even though I have endured 24 months of it and it's side effects which is muscle weakness in my thighs.

When I was diagnosed with 4th stage prostate cancer my PSA was over 4000 Now with the therapy I’ve been on which is 1000 mg of zytiga per day without food and one hormone shot of fermagon per month Best wishes

Hi Colin, you can do a lot more than a few! Friend of mine diagnosed at 60 with advanced stage prostate cancer spread to the lymph nodes, pelvis, lower back, hips and ribs and with treatment is still going nine years on and lives a normal life lots of holidays still works part time even! Stay strong mate.

Interesting. I've been diagnosed at stage 3b. Original PSA of 6000 with lymph node spread into groin and abdomen. Been on Zytiga for one month. PSA now 78. My oncologist has given me a 5 year average survival rate. Apart from this I'm very fit and healthy. I'm 73. Can't see where the 20 year survival comes from? More detail would be nice. I'm in the UK.

I had genetic testing i am not qualified for parps. Standard ADT or Albutirone or Zytiga for me. My clinic goes through MD Anderson.

My husband is 61 year old and has been recently diagnosed with high volume tumor but only on right side - PSa of 7 but Gleason score of 9. Scary. Clean psma pet . Cancer only on right side. No sigh of metastatic cancer from psma pet and bone scan and mri. But the tumor is pressing on the capsule of the prostrate. He is Thin and fit and active. Too young for the awful side effects of surgery or radiation. Thinking of trying nano knife from a clinic in Germany. They also do some form of chemo with the nano knife and some form of immunitherapy Td-1 blocker. What do you think? Cyber knife is a back up plan. Should know within 3 months if nano knife has worked. Also trying care oncology nutritional protocol . Thoughts ?? Is it worth tryin nano knife and delaying radiation for a few months ?? Or is that crazy risky ??

My PSA is 3.6 but sometimes my back hurts also. Whenever I get checked it's muscle related pain or something else. I firmly believe the body will repair itself as it is supplied with the necessary nutrients. Keep moving forward and always believe.

When you say 99% survival in five years, do you mean the cohort that chooses treatment appropriately as medically indicated? What about those who refuse medically indicated treatment, and do nothing even with high risk disease?

I will add your question to our list for future videos. Those numbers are for patients who are treated. I am not sure if there are any studies, especially high-quality prospective ones, on people who are not treated because it would likely be deemed unethical, but maybe Dr. Scholz knows of something and can give a better answer.

Not me either. Lupron worked for me for about 7 years. Zytiga for a few months. Xtandi didn't work at all

It has been 2 weeks from the last radiation treatment but the Dr doesn't seem like it's not going to come right back he keeps saying it's an aggressive form just looking for some feedback thank you

Yeah, the “natural” fruits and vegetables worked out so well for Steve Jobs, didn’t it? His cancer was curable with proper meds. But no, he went the fruit route. He effectively killed himself.
