Storm (Halle Berry) - All Scenes Powers | X-Men Movies Universe 

Yes exactly- I was wondering why all of her power scenes take so long. I doubt she has to "charge" her powers like this so for theatric effect they've made her seem really weak.

I agree that was a huge moment but only 1 out of 2. The second was in DOFP when she called upon the weather to attack the sentinels ship and they were miles away. It was a display of one of her powers that she can detect anything traveling through earths atmosphere because she is in tune with the entire planet and don't have to be anywhere near what she detects and can still attack, but they still watered her down there. Overall in this video you can see the insane limit that gave her that was so underrated for someone who controls the amount of power she does. They could have given her huge moments in every way without the battle ending very quickly but they didn't. One other thing to point out is, the moment the sentinels are flying through the storm as if it's not there. That was pure disrespect because in this moment if her winds were able to repel entire ships weighing tons, then how come it couldn't with sentinels weighing much less. Her winds can repel bullets, jets and tear through metal. She could've kept them at bay with wind alone without even using lightening or ice. What we saw was only 25% of what Storm can really do here.

The thing about characters as powerful as Storm, is that it is hard to create any sort of suspense, when the hero is all powerful. You end up just expecting her to win. I'm not saying I support how she is portrayed in these movies, but I do understand why they toned her down. Another thing to keep in mind with Storm, is althought incredibly powerful, she has to constantly focus on keeping her powers in check. If she loses focus, she will lose control of her powers and cause unimaginable damage. They actually showed this to some small extent in the 3rd movie, where she spaces out and turns a clear blue sky practically black without realising it. But let's hope not just her, but all the x-men get better treatment in the MCU, rather than 7/10 movies being "Wolverine and the X-Men"

@@yourblueboy She...is not Muslim for 1, was orphaned after a plane crash killed her parents, lived with street urchins and was trained to be the best thief in Cairo. She comes from a long line of priestesses with white hair and blue eyes who all had the ability to control the weather which made a family have a history of trying to capture them (in Storm 1-4 the mini series before her marriage, one if the men hunting T'Challa who said he hasn't seen a wind rider in 30 years hinting her mother was possibly also a weather controller). Her ancestors home was in Kenya, to which she eventually felt the call to come home and answered it and decided to make a long track on foot to get there (this is when her mini series takes place and when she meets T'Challa). That's a lot of material to go off of, the only problem was that she was no older than 12-14 during this time but it's easy to bump up her age.

They were all garbage once the executives tried to go with a younger demographic after the success of First Class. The best cast is from the original trilogy. The dystopian future was the best part of DOFP until they went to the 70s and focused way too much on Wolverine and company. The best part of Apocalypse was the opening scene in ancient Egypt.

Though I would love to have a Storm origins movie, there's no way it will be as successful as Wolverine or Black Panther. Wolverine is more iconic than Storm, and Black Panther being part of the main Avengers lineup makes him more popular as well. Storm also lacks killer rage, unlike wolverine, so her movie would be eh compared to his. And this is coming from someone who didn't like Wolverine movies that much, and Storm us my favourite super hero/heroine

Well Disney bought the rights from Fox and it has been confirmed that Deadpool and the X-Men will be part of the MCU. But now. Maybe six or seven years from now... They also said since they have the rights now,they r gonna give the X-Men and anything X-Men related a rest. So it will take some time. Just be patient...

@@softentheblow There is no such thing, the movies made up those levels. In the comics they group power level by Beta, Alpha and Omega etc in that order and Storm was said to be Omega potential but how shes a literal Goddess.

Storms potential hasn’t fully been realized which means they don’t actually know how powerful she’ll actually be... I liked the first class cast, they were good. But for me, It's honestly the 2002 cast the best one. I love sophie, but Famke as Jean? Jesus Christ. I still get goosebumps at that "you would die for them?" scene.

The fact that she used the black bird as a booby trap killed most of the sentinels. If she didn’t die I reckon they would have held them off. Storm, Magneto, Blink & Sunspot would Ah slayed. But of course Hallie’s pregnancy it’s why they killed her off so tragically and gracefully. It also makes sense that sentinel killed her first cos she is the strongest. They had to be at a moment of slam it losing so Mystique can erase this dark future

her power is to control the weather, but the level of control she has, being able to control the elements and energy forms of the weather on a molecular means that she has absolute control of the weather but it also means she's not limited to just controlling the weather. She really has no limits to her power which is why she is an omega.

Nah it would have been a Kids show about Her showing Off and Look at Charlie's Angels and How that turned out... I liked it, cause I actually Read The Comics and I can Tell some iterations, she is Not as strong as The Jean Read Exiles issue 4 I think, she gets taken out real Quick, If anything they made her a Bit Stronger and More Integral to The Movie, and that's much better.

They dumped down eveyone for Wolverine, lots of X-Men have great personalities and such that would easily overshadow him and they knew it.
