I was hoping this video would cover something about a ball’s top weight. I recently purchased a storm x-blew ball Asym ball with a top weight of 6.6 oz. As per the website, a skilled pso would know how to drill the ball in accordance to the limit if usbc rules coming August. My question is how does a pso tackle a high amount of excess top weight and still meet the criteria of usbc rules; second just in general how does certain amount of top weight affect ball motion in symmetrical and asymmetrical ball?
this rule sucks, I'm a two handed bowler and sometimes I want to play around throwing one hand. That means from now on I have to get separate ball for one handed and two handed.
@DASO MILITIA So now he needs to have league and non-league balls, not the end of the world but it sucks when you need to spend money because people are making rules just to make your life harder. I firmly believe this rule was aimed directly at two-handers with thumbholes/balance holes and it is BS. I normally don't use a thumb but my spare ball has one drilled because I also like to bowl one-handed occasionly. I have found I can use my thumb in that ball by changing my hand position and putting my ring finger in conventional and my middle finger fingertip or using my ring and index finger instead of my middle and index. After a little practice, I'm at least as good, if not better, at spares with this method (less revs on ball and more accurate) but the main reason I did this is to tell the people who made this rule to fuck off.
@@mateog4658 I don't know, it just says "in the delivery". Maybe it defines delivery better in another location but I haven't seen it. The last point of contact with the ball for all bowlers are the fingers so unless it specifically says it is a certain point I guess you could just take a little baby step and take your thumb.
Since you two seem to have a greater understanding of these terms i.e. RG - Diff and others. Please use more layman's terms when discussing this and how they will affect the ball and it's motion. More about how it will make the ball either hook more or less. This will be helpful for those of us who are not as knowledgeable about the technical part of bowling.
Thanks for the comment. We will take that in for future videos. In the meantime check this video out that breaks down RG, and Diff in a very digestible way. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Tdtuc9osaUU.html
