Very cool bat rep! I gotta say, I'm loving 4e so far. Really really fun so far. But does anyone else really dislike how strong and mandatory manifestations are? I don't love that they're free units that you have to fight through and waste damage into. And that they can be summoned every single turn. It's such a feel bad moment killing one just to see it come back three more times in the same battle. Anyone agree/disagree?
What really sucks is when your opponent has enough casts to bring out 4 manifestations in a turn. Adds 20+ wounds to the army. If the endless spells counted towards enemy battle tactics maybe they could be balanced more. Or if you paid a set price for the lore it would be more balanced.
I'm also not a big fan of the invocations, it's a big disadvantage if you don't have them, that I feel forced to take a wizard with me and I don't like taking wizard's
@@SeasonofWar And you actually even get a +1 to the d3 MWs roll against stuff that has more models than you do, as well. I.e. you do a MW for each 3+ and d3+1 for each 5+. I'm not entirely sure it's intended, but it does say the +1 is to "each" roll, not just to the initial roll.
Right, but it also applies to the d3 mortal wounds rolls. There's nothing in the line saying "add 1 to each roll" to suggest it applies only to the initial d6 rolls. If it was written to apply only to the initial d6 rolls, the "add 1 to each roll" line would be in the declare step, not the effect step.
It says each roll because you roll 1 die per model in unit. If it didn't say each roll you would get bonus for _1_ d6 roll. 6 eels, 1 die with bonus, 5 without
I banish Jaws, Magical intervention I resummon Jaws back immediately. There are so many ways they can fix these silly interactions that I'm curious to see what route GW goes when we finally get an update.
Really hope they don’t overcorrect. Manifestations desurve a big place in AoS. Minimum I would like to see them simply banned from magical intervention, it’s just way to good and will always be way to good to be able to pluck down a base pretty much wherever before your opponents turn. Also factions that don’t participate in the manifestation game really need battle traits or warscrolls that reflect that.
🔥 The quality of those reports is improving all the time, but the two score display panels on the sides unfortunately take up too much space and make the game difficult to read. It would also be great to be able to zoom in on the battles using a hand-held camera! Finally, a box for throwing dice filmed from above would be a perfect finishing touch. Thanks for these lovely reports 💜
Jordan did you forget the biovoltaic blast on your morsarr after round 2? Or did you just roll terribly everytime? Lifeswarm only heals one unit. For Take the FLanks you cant have set up a unit like John did with his knight relictor turn 4.
It's quite remarkable how impactful going first in round 2 is in 4th. It's been heavily influencing who's been winning in the majority of the games I've played so far. Naturally you can deploy around it, and perhaps who went second in the first round, should have gone for the underdog mechanic and potentially castled up a bit more?
Couple of questions: 1) 27:47 Why charging the burning head? Could have been a good road block. 2) 30:07 It was a 1 roll but Crondys look a bit stuck, is there a way to move him with redeploy? 3) Who wins? Do BT counts to determine the winner?
Not sure this is the answer. But remember counter-charge. If you don't charge in a road block unit your opponent might charge it and just get all that extra movement. But I don't remember if he had the CP for a counter.
Spent 600 USD at baron of dice, glad they support the community. Hey for the idoneth floating bases, is there any guide or tutorial for how the painter/assembler did those. I struggle so hard to keep any floating models to look good with what GW gives me.
John, where are you at on the Praetors vs Vexillor debate as far as keeping Krondys alive? personally, I felt like the Vexillor with Envoy was enough, but wanted your thoughts
I think the vexillor is enough but it of course depends what yoh are facing and how you intend to use Krondys. If you really want to be aggressive with him I would still go single unit of praetors.
Someday, Tasty Crabs will not be the best relic for idoneth. On that day, and on every other day until Tasty Crabs are removed from the game, i will continue to always run Tasty Crabs.
Spoiler warning.... . . . . . . Honest question...Did the SCE player never play against eels before? Never put your two most important units out by themselves mid board without screens in front Also take the flanks doesn't work with translocation.
