Even with best management practices, land development still needs inlets and pipes to carry stormwater to detention basins. In this session, we will detail how to get setup within Civil 3D and Storm and Sanitary Analysis (SSA) as well as the workflow to model and analyze storm sewer pipes. Hosted by Kevin Spear, PE, the session will focus on the following issues:
•Settings for Import and Export within Civil 3D and SSA
•Pipe Network Layout in Civil 3D
•Export to SSA
•Collect Inlet Drainage Areas data
•System Design in SSA
•Export back to Civil 3D
•Generate various report data

When you adding the by pass links you do not have to worry about the length and invert section?

When those links are initially created, they are given a length and invert. When you adjust the link graphically to connect to a downstream inlet, you should adjust the length based on the curb flow distance and the invert to the grate of the inlet. Both are manual steps though... Good luck!
