I listen to this every morning. And all of you who are reading this right now, I know it's a hard time. but keep pushing on! Don't give up. life isn't perfect, but some moments are better than others
hey to you reading this 😊 whatever brings you here, whether it's to fall asleep or to relax from something stressful, i just wanted to let you know that everything will be fine. If you're going through a hard time right now, it's okay to remind yourself that this is temporary, and there are many good and relaxing days to come. You are an amazing person and the world is lucky to have someone like you in it. I hope only good things, love and strength will come your way. :)
Each episode just gets better and better in every way... great edits, angles, and unscripted funny moments. The end had us laughing seeing you weaving away in the Subie with the Weka running for its life. Love it.
I applaud your bravery and craziness for getting out in that weather! Food looked scrumptious, and that chair is really cool. Thanks for taking us on your adventure.
I am intrigued by all the macpac gear you and Victoria utilize. Never heard of that brand and the company seems sort of elusive lol. Very cool that you keep pumping out videos for us all man!! Helps me while I “work” from home and enjoy it on my other monitor. Always cool and chill vibes from you guys and I am a lifer!! Stay rad Abel & Victoria. 🤙🏻 ☮️ ❤️
Mac pac is a New Zealand brand. They do clothing sleeping bags packs and tents. A lot of their clothing is pretty casual but they have an alpine series that has some great value technical gear. Thanks man
Kia ora, After watching the first video I am addicted to your videos. You do really well!!! I am binge watching them, particularly when you cook your comfort food! Please make more videos 🙏
Exped mega Matt with out of doubt. So comfy even if you’re sleeping on the floor just keeps you warm all the time no cold gets through it is absolutely the bomb
Wonderful video and a very lovely part of the world. The trick with car camping is to take enough to be comfortable, but not so much as to weigh you down with a lot of time packing and unpacking, unless you're doing a longer trip to justify it all. For sleeping comfort in winter, definitely a folding stretcher such as the Zempire King Single V2 plus a nice SIM on top - EXPED Megamat 15 LXW is superb. The EXPED 15 is thick enough that you can run it soft without bottoming out on it, and the stretcher gets you up out of the cold air near the floor, and gives you extra storage space underneath. :-) For summer, an airbed is fine, but for winter there's no insulation value in them, hence the folding stretcher and SIM recommendation/combination.
LOVE the tent, i wondered why you don't take that one every time as it would be cool to be able to stand up but then i realized that it would be bulky and heavy to carry and you would need that pump as well, but how cool to have all that space.
Oztrail ezi fold stretchers are great, there’s different sizes. I use mine with a memory foam topper but I imagine the sleep mat you have would be comfy. A floor covering, I use furniture moving blankets and these are great for keeping the tent a lot warmer and protecting the floor from the stretcher legs. Really liking that tent🏕
Yes your meatballs looked delish and as Italian is my favourite food I love that type of dish. Because there are two of us we like our mattress as high as possible so ours blows up with an electric pump and it’s a queen size and is about 2ft high and it’s like a home mattress, 😀 so we are very comfortable but at our age you probably need one like that. 🤣 we recently bought a cool new flash lamp from Costco and we think that’s going to be really great as it seems bright enough. Our tent never gets condensation inside as the fly is the same size as the tent so it goes down to the ground. Just a different style I suppose. Anyway cheers Abel and thanks for your video once again.
Another great Video. Next on my shopping list the Pronto 4 V2 Air tent. Keep up your excellent You Tube posts. Big Congrats to you and Victoria. Looking forward to your next adventures.
Cheers. Yeah tent has been really good so far. Packing it away kinda sucks and drying it out but its achievable. Next video is a crazy snow storm camp with vicotira editing it now
Your camp videos are always awesome to watch. Now that it is winter in New Zealand, will you be doing more car camps or will we see some Wilderness Adventures?
G'day, Michelin Man. Your nemesis nearly copped it at the end. 🤣 As Tony at AB says the rain is ok but hates the wind. Looked like you had fun setting up. Can't wait to see you guys in the snowstorm. Don't need to name names, but can you briefly fill us in on the wedding then. 😃
Lol. Wind is a pain. Going to be lots to deal with coming up. I’m packing bags now heaps of treats. Victoria is coming with me so we can give some details in upcoming vid
I’ve tried lots of stuff but, if I’m car camping I take a full height stretcher and a suitable weight sleeping bag and woollen rug. I have had to accept that sleeping on the ground and a bad back and artificial knees just don’t go together anymore.
mate those meatballs look the bomb! terrible weather - perfect for camping LOL - the start of the video where you were trying to set up the tent reminded of bouncy castles that fly off in the wind! One interesting thing - in the light rain the automatic RU-vid translate/dub marked the rain as "applause", but when the rain got heavier it was "music" ha ha. Great vid as always - looks like you will become a camping gadget reviewer...can you confirm again the swivel chair swivels :) awesome vid - next car camp should have wild ocean in background. there must be an isolated spot if you go further west? keep up the good work!
The auto generated subtitles are funny. I’m trying to find good spots to car camp. Not having much luck with it. There are several good spots but they are accessed over rivers that get very high very fast. Next vid is a good one. Victoria and I camped in a big snow storm
Gsi. I usually have a list of gear I use in the video in the description. I try to keep it accurate. The chair is cool much more comfortable then my little one
I've got some questions. I hope you are the type who answers 😊 First, what was the little bird that was helping you pack up your camp. I thought it might be a kiwi, but the neck was more duck like. What do I know, I'm American. Second, regarding your bed. We have twin inflatable mattresses with a memory foam pad on top. We don't carry our tent in a back pack so don't worry about weight or volume. The inflatable mattress might work for you though. Third. Love your videos. My dream is to visit down under. All over, not just Oz. I'd love to camp in some of the places I've seen. Hopefully, my daughter and I can do that soon. God bless you and your lovely wife, she is so precious. Oh, one more thing. We have to take precautions with food. Even here in Alabama, we have bears who will invite themselves to dinner in your tent. What predators do you have there? Do you have to put your food up in a tree or something? Maybe you could address your native animals in a video and tell us the pros and cons of dealing with them in the wild. Y'all have the nasty snakes and bugs down there. Sorry for being a ratchet jaw. ❤❤❤
@@AbelandVictoria Might have something to do with the weather. It looks pretty dismal. Glad you still got out there and did it. I always enjoy getting to the country, even on the bad days. Thanks for being a trooper and I look forward to the next.
