Story Time: Client was late for 8 HOURS! + Neon Glass Stiletto Nails 

Im always 10 minutes early and sometimes my nail tech actually likes to start as soon as i get there if she is done with cleaning up after her last client that way she has a head start and sometimes the last client is still being finished up but my nail tech always tells me she really appreciates me being early. And sometimes i even bring her a snack haha

You are very kind. I would have told her to do some self introspection and ‘good bye’. Late people are rude. This 8 hour late person should be permanently removed from all schedules. Some people are simply all about themselves. I’m only late if there is a true emergency in my family.

Punctuality is the politeness of Princes. 8hrs late? I'd have thrown her out without any nails at all!

"I'm on my way!" -- I imagined her getting on a 6h flight 😂 My dad was always late or absent in my childhood and adolescence. I learned to lie about start times, like if I really wanted him to see me in a performance, I'd tell him it started at least an hour before it actually started. Update: he actually changed his behaviour over the years and now I can tell him real times. Beautiful nails!

I’m a mom of 3 with twins so being early is a must . My babies are grown now & im still a early bird . The audacity of people taking advantage of other peoples time is annoying . I feel like those are ones that can’t be trusted & being trustworthy is a must

The nails aaaaree perfect! :) I always come "too soon" because I hate to come late when someone is waiting for me :D I always feel uneasy, because I just step near doors and look at watches :D once I was scared by my nail technician, because she saw me and just jump from door at me with laugh :D she was really nice person and after that, she always said "I will make you coffe, I bet you come again 15 min sooner, so you can wait here and whe jump on it, when I finnish" :D

For businesses like ours, time is money. Lateness occasionally is understandable. Three times and you're out as a client because we have a schedule. One person's lateness puts the whole day behind for everyone else. I have a 15 min grace period as well.

storytime is the best!! :-) I do not tolerate lateness. It can happen that someone for some reason runs late, in that case I expect a call or a text. when I worked in gastronomy, I gave away a reserved the table if people were more than 15 minutes late and didn't call, same thing goes for appointments: your appointment is at 10 and you're not there by 10:15 without any info, that's it. and if that person shows up I will send her/him away, even if it means I will sit there for 45 minutes til the next client, history has tought me, it's the only way people learn.

The neon yellow with glitter is so pretty 🤩 and please we need more storytime. I’m the one who is always late and I’m ashamed of it. But due to my mental situation, I struggle to get out of the door on time. If I know I’m going to be later than I usually do, around 15mins, I would cancel the appointment. Letting people wait for over an hour is just outrageous. And the audacity of keeping people waiting for so long and then show up like nothing happened, oh my goodness how could they?

Beautiful nails, I’m always early or on time for my beauty appointments. I do have two stories about two different nail techs being over an hour late for my appointment though lol. One was a salon owner and she booked my next appointment with her and I get a call to confirm the appointment and the day of, I arrived an she waltzes in over an hour late and couldn’t do my nails and pawned me off on someone else who sucked lol. Stopped going to her!! Then fast forward, I make an appointment with a new tech different salon some time later and I got my nails done first time no problem the second time he showed up an hour late and it was because he stopped to go shopping at TJ Maxx (bags in tow) lol but the funny part was when the owner of this new salon walked in it was the same late nail salon owner who pawned me off on some other tech because of her lateness. She apparentlyopened this new salon and hired a nail tech just like her lol!!!!! You can’t make this stuff up 😝

If it's just me in the situation I'm always early. If my daughters or boyfriend are involved in late. That's so frustrating 😤 I'm in love with these nails 💅 😍 💛 💕

I can't stand when people are late. Be there at the set time or call and let someone know what's going on. Don't just leave people hanging. It's outright rude!

The glass stilettos are beautiful! I have a set of Saviland uv gels that I’m wanting to get to work with, but one of them DID leak in transit to me so I’ve had to clean up a bunch of that spillage and I eventually put the little tub in a plastic zipper bag. But in regards to the late model, the lateness is unacceptable. I’m not a punctual person, and I firmly believe that I experience time differently than other people. I think I have dyscalculia because I have struggled with numbers in all theirs forms for my whole life. I struggled to learn to read an analog clock and tell time, really badly as a kid. I’m not particularly good at math either. That being said, I would never leave someone hanging for eight hours. I would have told you to use your backup model and gotten my nails another day. And for the model to show up 8 hours late, and still expect FULL SERVICE is beyond the pale. Inexcusable! I hope you refused to use her as a model going forward because that kind of selfishness doesn’t deserve rewards.

Loved these acrylics, you need to try there builder gels I have a lot I like them a lot , for the price and the amount you get. They have some colors now nudes and bright and some glitters.

I am not so good with acrylic but these colors are beautiful. I have saviland builder gel and the pink and purple colors are very close to the acrylic. I would love the orange and yellow in gel. I am always on time or a little early if possible. I feel like being late is disrespectful and down right rude. Being habitually late is a problem. Once in a while it happens to everyone. I would be so upset.

I was noticing the fluidity of the acrylics when you did the sample swatches; do they require a higher monomer to powder ratio?

I AM that person who's literally ALWAYS LATE🤦🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️! I really really don't mean to be; I actually go out of my way to prepare ahead of time and to have every little thing done early that I can to make it easier and more realistic for me when it's time to leave... For example, laying out my clothes and my daughter's clothes the night before, packing our lunches, gathering her school work into the designated folders and putting them in her backpack and have all my charting and stuff for work in my work bag, keeping my keys in my purse, showering, and even getting gas the night before, etc., I even set EVERY clock/watch fast so that when I think it's 8, it's actually 7:47... However, it NEVER FAILS; every single time I've got something to do, "Murphy's Law" kicks my butt! (Murphy's Law states that "Anything that CAN go wrong, WILL go wrong, AND at the WORST possible moment!) My daughter's flip-flop will break, I'll have a flat tire or lock my purse in the car the night before thinking that way I won't forget it, but do you remember where I keep my keys so they don't get lost?!🤦🏼‍♀️ My purse... meaning I lock my keys in the car, and don't realize it until it's literally almost time to be there! One time, I was in a huge rush, and it was wintertime, so it was very cold, and I was at a patient's house doing a home visit, and I had gotten the patient her groceries and her medications from the pharmacy and some packages from the post office plus my nursing bag and just tons of stuff... I left my car running so that it would be warm when I got in it, then I carried everything in and out, etc., finished my visit, and was on my way. I continued my day, seeing others, more hurried than normal because I knew I had a business dinner that night at Red Lobster, and it was 4 hours away. I realized after seeing my final patient that I was going to be a few minutes late to the dinner, so I went to call my supervisor, and my phone was -poof!- nowhere to be found! I figured it was SOMEWHERE in my car because I hadn't used it all day, so I just thought I'll find it later. I made it to dinner a little late, but I wasn't in trouble or anything, she was actually surprised that I had made it as soon as I had. BUT AFTER DINNER, I go out to start my car, purse in hand, and my car won't start, like as if I didn't have the key FOB ... 🤦🏼‍♀️ Because I DIDN'T! MY CAR WAS STARTED THAT MORNING WHEN I LEFT A PHYSICIAN'S OFFICE AFTER I'D PICKED UP SOME MEDICAL RECORDS, AND IT HAD BEEN RUNNING UNTIL I GOT TO THE RESTAURANT! I HAD NO IDEA WHERE IT WAS?! Long story short, when I was bringing in and out all of those boxes and bags at the previously mentioned patient's house, my key fob had slid off into one of the Walmart bags. It took SUCH A LONG TIME to figure out where it was, especially without my phone! As for my phone, I bought a new one, thinking I'd never see it again, and all my information in it was just gone forever. Two months later, I had to go back to that physician's office again, and one of their patients had found it in the parking lot while smoking a cigarette, saying that he saw a nurse fitting my description put it on top of her car(my car) when she was loading her car up with boxes, and it flew off when she (I) drove off...🙃 THE POINT IS... I really try SOOOO HARD to be on time, but no matter what, it's just like that for some reason I'm not meant to be on time!🤷🏼‍♀️

I’m the late person… 😬. However, it was not always the case. I used to be super early before. I think I know why and I read some articles about it. Let’s say I attend a birthday party. I show up early. No one is super excited to see me, they are like help me finish blow some ballons or something to help them finish prep for the party. And there’s awkward conversations with people you don’t know. Then we keep checking our phone to see who’s on their way. And then people arrive, and it’s getting fun, still waiting for more people, keep looking at our phone. And there’s always the ‘’cool’’ late group that we were waiting for forever and then the party really starts !! I think it went to my mind subconsciously that in order to feel more ‘’important’’ or ‘’desirable’’ I need to be more mysterious and be late. And it works… but I’m working hard now not to be late anymore.

That story is mind blowing! Recently my therapist had gotten my appointment mixed up, it was at 11am but she thought 10am. I texted her around 9am that I might be a little late, but ended having plenty of time. So at 10:10 I texted her that I’m leaving, so she’ll know I’m on time. At 10:25 she called me asking me if I’m close. And I said yeah, I’ll be there 10 minutes early and that’s when she found out she got the times mixed up. And I couldn’t believe that someone would think I’d leave home AFTER the appointment had started. 🤣 So yeah, I’m always early! And if I’m not I stress and definitely call to say I’m like 5 min away. 😅

Maybe use a similar lateness timeframe you do for your clients for models as well. 20 mins max. I feel so bad for the student!!! Also text all models the night before and reiterate to be there 10 mins early & if they’re late you’ll consider them a no show. Hope u never used the ungrateful person! I like to be places early so I’m not having to rush and be all sweaty 😅

Being late is a pet peive. I hate it with a passion. I do not like people having to wait on me. When it comes to someone else, I find, I can be patient for a very short amount of time. If they are more than a few minutes late, I'm done. Im already so annoyed I don't want to deal with them.

I love those nails they are so pretty and you don’t have models very often have their nails that long it really shows off those colours beautifully. eight hours late after four hours I would’ve told her to just forget it and called somebody else after two hours I probably would’ve caught called her and said don’t bother But definitely after 34 hours I would’ve just said forget it and I would’ve called somebody else it’s very disrespectful and I think she was doing a whole bunch other things because he certainly wasn’t travelling to your salon

It's clear that that client doesn't respect your time, talent or patience. I understand extending grace, It's very important, however when clients/guests are abusively late, it's important that you communicate to them, on no uncertain terms, that such abuse cannot and will not be tolerated. You went well beyond the call of duty to accommodate her tardiness, and still she took your kindness for granted. Her appointment should have been rescheduled for another time with the understanding that if she continues with that pattern of behavior that she needs to find another nail salon because your time is valuable, time is money, and it's not fair to others who get there on time, but can't be seen because that time slot is already taken. Just my 2-cents. The nails are gorgeous, by the way 😊

Omg 8hrs late n she had the cheek to be annoyed 😮. I’d have told her she had to reschedule her app. I always get my clients to message me ideas of what they want so they don’t spend ages trying to decide on what they want. I also have a deposit, I’ll allow 15mins but then that’s it. They lose the deposit, unless they message me to say they’re running late. 3 strikes and your fired as my client. Xx

I’m sorry, but if you are eight hours late do not expect to get serviced at all. There is absolutely no reason to be eight hours late! I always call if I’m going to be even 5 minutes late as it’s just so ingrained in me to be punctual. BE ON TIME!!!
