As a retired Marine Engineer of years ago, I really enjoy your videos on diesel engines, somewhat smaller than what I worked on, but the pistons still go up and down. We overhauled our own pumps, injectors and turbochargers etc but all purely mechanical no electronics to play up. Great content.
🤣🤣🤣 we love to see it. People being fools. That was a clever way of making a quick spool with what you had at the time. Please do a video of the tear down and rebuild.
One can't succeed in business until you've had a customer like that........ I was in my business for 20 years as a one man show and had a few of those. Part of the pleasure of working 16 hours a day is to tell such people where to go :)
Also I did something similar with my 12-valve Cummins I have a compound setup what they stock hx35 I ported out slightly and running a 3 ht3b 88mm on top of it with half of the housing blocked off it's a 32cm housing on the largest turbo and I've got one side blocked off never had any problems with exhaust temperatures. I have 5000 RPM Springs in my pump I have full rack 191 delivery valves 150 horsepower injectors 24 degrees on timing. I'm reaching almost 80 lb of boost stock head with the stock bolts greased and tighten down to 145 lb of torque have not blown head gasket yet. I-dineout it stock had 145 wheel horsepower right now I'm running 785 horsepower to the wheels. Stock 47rh tranny with a triple-disc torque converter. Did I mention it stuffed in my 66 Dart
okay i know it may be a bit of a reach but i would love to see a engine dynoed with that exhaust and that turbo with and without the quick spool only to see how much earlier on the turbo comes, and how wrong the customer was of it being bs xD
I would like to know if you make or prepare an injection pump for the vw audi engine. acronym pd 1.9 turbo diesel.? and values here in Portugal are in great demand. I believe in your work. seems very good.
I have a million-dollar question for you Luke I just purchased and waiting for a 400 horsepower injection pump for my om602. 200,000 miles on the engine. Just put a hx35 turbo on it and a little bigger injectors just for preventive maintenance what do you think I should expect once I get your pump install. Also I am a Cummins guy and do all of my own work is there an advantage to giving a little bit more timing as well thank you
Absolutely Effing Brilliant Luke :) "The customer is always right..." NOT :) One day I will have your magic worked on one of these engines in my defender... ps I will not be that Ahole
Hahahahahah are used to do Epoxy coating and some customer are so smart at everything till you hand them the tools ( then they walk away pretty quick hhahhahaahhh)
Got to be honest, if I’d received that pump thinking I was getting a rebuilt performance pump I’d have sent it back for a refund- I wouldn’t be an arse about it but it looks like shit which would make you question the values of the builder!
